How To Sell?

4 posts in this topic

Hey everyone. I would love your opinion, being the high conscious pepole that you are, what makes an outstanding sales person. How to become the best?

Sales is not my passion nor am I motivated by money. At the beginning of my career (befor i started self development) I saw sales as away to learn and aquire knowledge which I know now is my top value and my main motivation in life.

The amount of knowledge I now possess is very large to the point that I feel i am not getting better. Can I brake this wall and become amazing with no passonite to sell?

I'm just now wrapping up the exact thing you are talking about!  Okay, so here's the guy.  I sucked, then, after searching for awhile and reaching limited success with some books and other youtube vidoes, I watched this guy. Ready? I even posted his magic phrases, magic words, and other observations all around my apartment for a month.  Yeah, I kicked ass, then I started focusing on Leo's life purpose course instead and kicked slightly less ass on the sales floor.

You can apply this man's techniques to many areas of life, and I immediately learned how to not only sell a lot, but guide people's emotions for other short interactions. Careful, selling is a very manipulative specialty, and now that I have made enough money, I'm out.

However, to answer your question... I think that what makes a great salesperson... a truly great salesperson is one that is so knowledgeable in helping people, that he or she is able to do so and people will just pay you for it.  They will find ways to buy things from you if you truly care, and they know you want them to succeed.  I know a few guys with this charisma.  They work fewer hours than everyone else.  Get paid well.  And generally live a stress free life.  There's always a way to make money while truly giving something of optimal value to the customer.  You have to really care about your customers to be a great salesperson without passion....passion for selling that is...

For being the best, you should not sell at first . these are the most important steps you should take:

(I am not a Pro Seller but these are the result of my researches)

1-Acceptance atmosphere : you should make an atmosphere of acceptance by accepting what the customers want and being happy to help them by your services and goodies you provide.

2-Listening to and Admiring the customer for their needs instead of introducing yourself as a professional.

3-Try to help the customers instead of forcing them.

4-Having gratitude  attitude at every moment.

In my opinion, the most fundamental principle behind any kind of business is that you should provide value to your customers. So look at your business from that point of view: How are you providing value to your customers?

Specifically with regard to sales: Be detached from the outcome. If you are attached to one particular outcome (for example, you badly want the customer to buy something from you), then you are sabotaging yourself.

This is not only true for selling, but also for buying things. I was in Morocco once, where aggressive shop owners try to get you to buy tourist trinkets. They had nice wooden boxes. I wanted to buy one and haggled 50% off the price. I thought I had done well. Then a few days later at another shop I saw the same boxes. I didn't want one anymore, because I had already bought one. But the shop owner persisted and I kept telling him I didn't want it. The price went down to less than half of what I paid at the other shop. What I learned there was: the less I am attached to the outcome ("I want that box"), the better deal I get.
