Will my life purpose continue after enlightenment? If not, what will I be doing instead?

After enlightenment it will only get stronger, because you have a clearer understanding of how meaning works. Then you will be able to decide a life purpose and execute effortlessly. Of course your life purpose might change due to change of perspective, but life purpose on a major scale isn't going anywhere.

Enlightenment is the life purpose. Get there and then ask questions. It will benefit you of you have less distractions <3

Read the way of the superior man.

There is a chapter in it that explains this perfectly.

Spoiler: There will always be another purpose, and you might quit one at anytime anyway.

@Emne You’ll see that there is only you, and you’ll know what you are. Then there is nothing to cause doubt, fear. There is no one to push against, argue with. You’ll love, support, offer compassion, because you are everyone, everyone is you. You’ll see that all of your past does not exist, it, like the present, and future, and the universe, is your own illusion. You’ll see how it is that you were never born, and you’ll never die. You’ll see what it means that ‘there is nothing to know’ lol. You’ll see that there is no point, so fun, helping, and feeling great becomes the only ‘point’. “Living” for the sake of living.  Horrible analogy, but it’d be like if you turned on GTA, nd then said why am I playing GTA? Oh yeah, cause I just wanted to do something, and maybe have little fun.         Oh, but there’s violence and evil in GTA, why would I play this game? No one would be there to answer you. You’re the one playing the game. Why is up to you. If you fight life, if you argue and strife, that’s up to you. You would be completely free to live the ret of your life how ever you want. You’ll be able to see the wisdom and relativity to you in everything around you.

@Emne Depends on how deep and pure your LP was to begin with.

This sort of question is best left open. Walk the path and trust that it will all turn out for the best. Your LP will evolve and perhaps radically change. And that's all good, as it should be.

@Nahm Great answer. That's exactly it. Really, no different than before enlightenment (if you were careful to think about how life works). It should have been pretty obvious that with death all accomplishments get wiped away, so they are of course purely relative and self-justifying.

Life is just one grand jerk off session. Exactly as it should be. Therein lies its beauty.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Enlightenment will literally reveal that everything is you. You'll see it and become it. If you become fully aware of this, and your life purpose did not take this into consideration, then you may change it or rearrange it to accommodate this.

There are basically two things -- the 'experience of the no-self (seeing / being the Truth)' and then taking this 'experience' or 'wisdom' with you to fully master this life. A life purpose could help support and be a vehicle to you on this journey.

Is this possible?

That you are the substance, the consciousness that knows everything(the absolute, awareness), but you are also the human self that's separated from others(the relative, body-mind) yet you are the consciousness that know and experience those others.

Could it be like that? You are everything on the absolute level of things, but only a body-mind in the relative level of things

Isn't it so, yes or no?

Yes. That's what it is. Everything, including yourself, is on the absolute level of things -- duality is part of non-duality. But, if 'you' are not aware of this, then you only have the perspective of seeing / viewing things at a relative level -- the body-mind (ego) in a separate world.

You will see that life has no inherent purpose...purpose is a creation of the mind.  When the mind is silent (no thought), purpose can not be found.

But you may continue doing what you have always been doing or you may do something else entirely...not out of some purpose, but simply for the joy of it.
