Masturbation In Order To Relax?

Hey, I feel like maybe the main reasons why I masturbate is to reduce stress and because it helps me fall asleep. The problem is though, that I believe its affecting my skin and I'm getting more acne, which sucks.

How can I reduce this? Maybe more meditation? Any advice or experience?

I love to masturbate. I have no idea why society tries to tell people it is wrong. I am not lonely either. I am content. And, I am motivated by growth, not respect. People will hear this and say: impossible. Sex with women is great, but the reality is, most women are motivated by deficiency-needs, making them quite incapable of a serious "relationship." As Maslow said, what most people consider "relationship" is actually just glorified neediness, or "selfish love." Self Actualized love is unconditional.

Well, I would suggest more meditation instead of masturbation. Meditation will help to reduce stress and in my experience can actually help promote sleep. In fact if I'm struggling to sleep I get up and meditate for 20 minutes, then go back to bed and continue the meditation in bed. It sends me to sleep quite effectively.

Masturbation will give you short term relaxation but meditation will relax your whole life bit by bit. You can masturbate but just be aware that it will not solve your inner restlessness issues or lift your life to next level.

For such a topic it is very clever to visit the nofap community. I've been there to get away from porn. As someone who used porn on a daily basis now I already reached 1 month without it. So, it is important to see how important masturbation is for you. Can you not do it for like 3 days? You have to find out if you are addicted to it. And is masturbation without porn acceptable for you? Many things that need to be considered here. I found out that I wasn't addicted to masturbation but rather to porn. And I had a really hard time when I quit porn. I was even crying and stuff.

I really don't think masturbation causing acne for you. there might be an allergy or hormonal issue behind it or even bad diet.

It causes a temporary relief and relaxation... but then what? You need to keep doing it in order to relax.. like a drug. Stop doing it instead and meditate more. How is masturbation elevating you as a human being? it doesn't

Yes, I think maybe I'm a bit restless. I need to learn how to reduce all the thoughts in my head. Will try more meditation before bed the next weeks and see how it goes. Thanks.

And, no, porn is not a problem at all, I think it's just that I'm lookin for the quickest way to fall asleep.

Dont try and reduce your thoughts.. Try to let them be and dont do anything about them.. In the past you have let them inform everypart of your life and in a way your letting them run you.. Like everything in life let them be , let them talk, say thakyou but you will make up your own mind... On the same token dont ignore them but also dont be tempted to action them all either..

acknowledge them, accept them, and let them go right on by.. Decide what you want and where you want to go.. your thoughts are not you..

 

As for the sleep there are so many other ways to sleep..

goto bed at the same time each night (sleep hygiene)

Sleep in a slightly cool environment

Do so much physical exercise during the middle of the day (not just before bed) that you flake out

Do not have any blue lights on  a couple of hours before bed.. make sure the house and tv have the blue turned down so that the light is yellowy a couple of hours before bed

 

Soo many other cool sleepinghacks out there

 

Meditation is not used to goto sleep, it is used to become more aware of shit.. you may need to re evaluate what meditation is all about..

Meditation will definitely help you with your thoughts. I guess it feels like a rollercoaster of thoughts in your head, right? I feel the same sometimes and meditating helps a lot.

Masturbation is still a nice thing to do, but it shouldn't be your solution to relief stress.

And for acne: improve your diet and also lower your stress levels. Stress affects the skin as well.
