Its a mix of both.

People range in levels of consciousness. If everyone was higher up on the Spiral Dynamics scale, things would be great. However, people care about security and comfort, which means Paradigm Lock. So, they just wanna watch football after work and drink till they pass out. The culture has a major role. If the culture promoted healthy use, things would be okay... However, its become gross and materialistic in its desires, such as snap chatting to get in someones pants, or using apps like Tinder.. people are searching for themselves at this point using technology, which will never work.

They are relying on their mind to provide them relief, and this wont work...

@John Iverson Fuck that, interacting in real life is way superior. If social media leads to you interacting less with the person in real life then it's a problem.

How about group chat.. you have an interaction to other person , social media is a way to connect..  my question is how can you see the authenticity of a response.. because maybe interation somehow it needs to be sensed.. but how can you sense a screen and words.. :(

@John Iverson  No, none at all.

The problem only occurs if a deeper connection is desired. That is not possible via tech.

None at all what?

It was a reply to you saying, in your headline/subject: "Is there a problem in technology or social media to connect to other person?" and the further

"What do you think??, about the connection and having a great conversation to another person using social media.. ".

None at all.......a... problem. If focus on topic and train of thought can be mantained.

:) In a way, your reply was really funny! :) I don´t know if you ment it so, I would if I could see your face.
