Why do you want to escape samsara?

8 posts in this topic

If life is so good as many of you say then why do you want to attain enlightenment and escape rebirth instead of experiencing life again?

and why do buddhist monks and yogis want it if they are so filled with joy?

rebirth is right here

One’s center is not one’s center, it is the center of the whole.

And the ego-center is one’s center.

That is the only difference, but that is a vast difference.-

It's a bit difficult to escape rebirth when you are God, infinity, and all its forms.  Haha :)

What's the point of playing the same level over and over again? There is no growth there. Waking up transcends rebirth anyway.

Samsara is Nirvana.  Heaven or hell is where you are...and you make it so.  There is no escape...from yourself.

The enlightened don't really care about rebirth or lack thereof...for they have realized they were never born.

@Monkey-man I think Samsara refers to being trapped in the maya. God is never born and will never die. Only the body is born and dies. Buddhist monks and yogis are happy outside of the maya. I want to break free from the maya.

The honest answer is there is lots of suffering in life. One has to go through the tunnel to see the light.

The ancients said, when one is fully liberated they remember all of their past lives and no longer need to be born. I haven't experienced anything like that, otherwise I wouldn't be here. I don't know if it's true. How can anyone on this forum answer this question honestly if they haven't experienced that?
