What is reality

The more important question is: What are you missing at this moment? Why do you want to know what reality is? When you know are you going to be somehow satisfied?

Is not illusion a semblance or reality? An appearence of reality distorted by thought “the self”

A false or incorrect perspective of realty.

Is there not only illusion and deception when thought escapes from a fact, Fear, sorrow, pain, suffering, and so on?

Seems that not seeing that thought in its search for security is creating this illusion.  Also an illusion seems to be mistaken as being independent of thought.

@Source_Mystic

This was a post intended to bring about a consensus about what reality was. Because it seemed that people had different views on that.

People will not really know what you mean by that post. Maybe a little more clarity. You got anything you could share on the the importence of comprehending “ holding together” reality?

Could you explain why it’s important to know thyself/thought? It is in direct relationship with reality and I’m sure someone will be interested. Also the more posts on this the broader understanding of each others posts.

Look forward to reading your post friend?

The resistance to seeing the illusion is the sense that your body & brain go with it, like rippin a band aid off.     Then seeing everything was already healed.

Yes it is apparent that we are part of the conditioned whole of reality. A process of experience through the limited capacity of thought which is part of the whole of reality.

And I think you are right about knowledge getting in the way of the immeasurable. Knowledge, experience, and memory “thought” within the psychological realm is the   very mechanism that prevents this timelessness and creates this separation and division with the whole of reality. But never the less thought has its place for communication and other practical and functional matters. Other wise we couldn’t ever meet one another as we are now.

Also yes to measure ones self and others in accordance to the attainment of  “enlightenment” is one of the very movements of thought that prevents this ever so necessary freedom from the self.

And this flow you speak of seems like an explanation of the dynamic, active, timelessness of perception. An action of beauty??

I greatly appreciate your participation into this topic of what is reality. I feel it’s important that we always try and come to a general consensus and are very clear with what we are communicating to one another. The ability to commune with one another is essential.

Thanks again friend?
