In the end, the best advice I ever got was to just to stop what I was currently doing (in the search for enlightenment) and take a good inventory check of myself and my surroundings as they are.

Most of the people that we use as source material didn't use drugs, have the internet for endless watching/reading/distraction and only really used reality as it was in-front of them.

Everyone has those same resources and are therefore no different than anyone else.

The only difference is one thing. Baggage. You can either pick some more up as you go along, or drop off what you already picked up.

I tried the former and it got a bit heavy of me and there were too many contradictions. Guess what happens when you drop the baggage instead? Life gets lighter. Do this till there is nothing left to drop and you'll be left with the only thing that can't be dropped.

And they wonder why they call it enlightenment.
