Loneliness

6 posts in this topic

My ego is unraveling, it's not nearly as bad as my mind made it out to be AT ALL but... the concept of being the only witness to all that's been done is unsettling. All these "others" in my world, I want so badly to help them, but part of me feels like it's redundant. Can the love be passed?

@Nathan  'You' don't need to help those 'others'.  As individual expressions of all that is, everyOne is actually playing their unique part, and following their unique path, in the self-perpetuating Dream, however it may appear otherwise. Thus everyOne must find their own way. At best one can be an example to follow, a guidepost on the journey, so to speak, which other individuals may or may not pay heed to, if so inclined. And meanwhile, if it is your unique calling to feel compelled to try to alleviate some suffering, and offer some comfort, then it will come naturally and effortlessly, as a mother offers a breast to an infant, without any saviour-like expectations, or out of any need to fill the void of emptiness.

Thanks guys :). I'm still as confused as ever, but feel somewhat less confused paradoxically. Enjoy your day.

@Nathan Sounds like you have a glimpse of the concept, but you don’t feel so hot about things. So, what must be the difference between the concept of being “the only witness”, and the experience of being “the only witness”?  A solid perplexing situation, as contemplation reinforces the conceptualization. So, how to go beyond concepts, beyond contemplation - beyond thinking? You have the map, you need the territory. You can’t dispose of the map, not at this point in the journey - nor would you want to. There’s no going back from this point you’ve made it to.

You can relax now, you can trust. Your job is simply to be in a neutral state - to not attach to any resistant thoughts. No need to ‘think your way ahead’. Just neutral and allowing will do.

Watch what comes, and enjoy it. It will come to you without your efforts. Your efforts slow it down. Just allow, and see. You’re going to be fine man. So much better than fine.
