Milk Products And Acne

4 posts in this topic

Hey all,

I decided that I will share this with everyone, maybe there is someone else in my shoes.
I't turns out that i am allergic to milk products. As soon as I eat milk products, I start to have a massive breakout and skin rash. I looked into a bit of the acne problem, and it seems that in most cases adult acne is caused by milk products, then some cases it's gluten. The two evil.
From today no milk products at all, So I am looking for good quality cheese replacements.

Any brand you use and could recommend?

Well I don't eat cheese at all, but just for the sake of knowledge, a third evil that causes acne can be a bad liver. And then, sugar can be the cause of acne too. Actually, a lot of shit can cause acne. A lot.

Why do you eat cheese anyway? :D Maybe it is easier for just just to stop eating cheese?

@Rosie Dairy is certainly a big evil in the acne world

One of the causes for acne is hormones. With dairy first you have the stress hormones and antibiotics etc that affect a cow and goes into the milk, then you have the lactose, and sugar causes insulin levels to spike and so again a hormonal issue, and that's also why refined carbs and gluten is said to be avoided due to insulin and sugar levels

I'd say wait about a couple months with dairy to see the extent to which dairy affects it in proportion to other food groups

I don't actually know if I'm allergic to it but it must definitely be causing mine, I just gave up on cheese altogether because the flavour just reminds me of all the rubbish that makes my skin flare up and it kind of put me off

I used to think cheese was an addiction for me cos I loved it so much, but it's been surprisingly easy to avoid for some reason, probably just the being put off part

Hydrogenated oils are my kryptonite as far as breakouts are concerned. But most allergic reactions can be seen as inflammation of one form or another. As I've gotten older things just ache more when I eat foods I know I should avoid.
