Welp seems like you're open minded enough to consider the possibility that you dont exist so watch Neti Neti method by leo. You dont have to believe shit he says but he'll guide you through a empirical investigation

You stumbled upon this concept called non-duality, this is the knowing of your true self, its a path of realization (Enligtenment). You can reach it by luck or by seriously raising your awareness, (our current awareness is too low to see over the fog, so to speak)

Some few people on this forum are maybe enlightened, alltough most are not including Leo himself, (as i understand)

believe in things that I can't understand. That would be the same thing as religious people being ridiculed for believing in a God they can't see.

You believe in a external world that don't exists , you believe in a brain and you believe in you , nothing different from a religious believing in a God they can't see

@Vipassana haha i've considered it but if i freak out on weed sometimes dunno wat that stuff could do to me haa

I have a really rough time on weed, but mushrooms don't bother me.  Mushrooms can bring up weirdness and insecurities, but it passes relatively quickly and actually usually turns into some kind of healing, especially if you are in a safe place.

I could give you more advice but you're already well on your way.  Your own innate sense of curiosity will guide you in the way your unique psyche most needs it.

Neuroplaticity is so beautiful to visualize!

@playdoh Is it helpful to you to consider that your brain is made of atoms, which are empty nothingness appearing as something?

Atoms are almost empty, they contain other smaller bits that too are almost empty and they contain smaller bits that too are almost empty. If you needed a microscope to see the atom which is filled with nothing how can you rely on the microscope which is nothing? You proved nothing is there with something material but also conceptual. There is too much based in "something" for me to understand your atoms are pure empty idea. Yes it has interesting similarities with the size of the universe compared to the planets and stars but so? you are still needing science concepts and microscopes to hone your theories

sorry if it seems rude of me but I have seen this before and I don't get it

@star ark What percentage of an atom is not empty, and what is that part made of? And what is that made of? Same with your brain. You wouldn’t rely on the microscope either, they’re pointer devices, relative to your topic. Meditation and self inquiry practices are much better tools. Didn’t realize you were a .00000000000001%ter! Atom inquiry lol was just a suggestion of direction for you to inquire to find more about where thoughts come from. It’s the same place your brain comes from.

A hydrogen atom is about 99.9999999999996% empty space. Put another way, if a hydrogen atom were the size of the earth, the proton at its center would be about 200 meters (600 feet) across.

So if the earth lost all land and you were floating over a still ocean and came across a landmass of 200 meters you would consider it just more nothing? That is the everything right there

You still ignored the microscope bit, did you do that on purpose or are you really only seeing what you can answer and subconsciously ignoring everything else? vagueness is self deception

@star ark So what is that .0000000000001 made of? My point was, if you keep looking into it, keep inquiring, it’s all made of nothing. The words are just the cover story.

we don't know what the remaining is but it is something, not nothing, I don't see how it could even be argued any other way

@star ark There is no “we” in knowing. You know what you know, and you don’t know what anyone else knows, and in actuality there is nothing to know, because there isn’t even a knower. But, you have to keep looking into it. There’s no substitute for direct experience. It’s supposed to be fun!

but then there is experience and the experiencer

you seem to think the ocean is wet and that is proof that there is no water. trusting your microscope to magnify through space which does not exist to say "look how insignificantly empty space is" is beyond absurd.

sorry but I will always find the strange loop, it is inescapable. trust truly is all you have to go on

How exactly do thoughts come from the brain?  Give me a short paragraph.

@Joseph Maynor well I could give you the scientific explanation how but you know how to use Google to.

@playdoh The Truth doesn't care what you want to believe or it must be rational way for you to understand. If you really want to understand it there is only one way: sit and contemplate, get to know yourself. Then the answer will come to you, from inside.

Whatever happens..
The Truth will free my soul

There one also needs to be careful not to start believing that world doesn't exist. It safe to assume that you simply don't know and investigate from that point. When you will find it then you can say: "Ohh, I really see it doesn't exist." Or maybe you will say it does exist. It doesn't matter what words you assign to it, what's important is the Truth itself.
