which practice?

Hi guys,

I have started mediating using Head Space and I am really enjoying, although the guided meditation is quite annoying because it makes me lose my focus! I am ready to move onto the next steps and would like to follow a practice. There are so many practices out there that it is quite confusing. I feel like I will be picking a practice out of pot luck. 

I was looking at Kundalini and that freaked me out with all the possible side effects you may encounter - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kundalini

So does anyone know of a good place to start from. Like a base that you can grow from?
