How do you "find yourself"?

4 posts in this topic

1.Put yourself in uncomfortable situations/take risks — see how you handle it.

2.Try something new — you will learn what you do and don't like.

3.Think about impactful events in your life — how has that shaped you?

4.Travel to a new, unfamiliar place alone — how do you cope with the new environment (are you more to yourself? Scared? Curious? Making friends instantly?)

5.Make a list of things that you think uniquely defines you. Ask friends and family about what they think defines you — any common trends? Anything you find surprising?

I learned the most about myself when I moved far away from family and friends for work and school. I had to cope with a new environment, being comfortable being alone, and finding what made me happy each day.

Your opinion interests me.

I think this should be moved to the Self-Actualization section, because in the Consciousness section we usually talk about how we find the No Self Self, not how we find/improve the Outer Self :D   Or am I mistaken? Perhaps sprinkle some 'higher consciousness living' in there :D
