Body cease to exist

8 posts in this topic

When meditating the body seems to cease to exist. It is just as though the entire being melts into oneess with everything - is it this way it's suposed to be? Or maybe the question really should be, how you experience it when you get into the meditative state?

(Yes I'm a newbie)

It doesn't matter. There's really no need to create expectations of "what it has to be like?". It has to be exactly the way it is.

But certain doubts have you, padawan. Advice seek you. (sorry couldn't help :D)

I think that your questions arise from a place of not being sure of something related to meditation. Try to ask yourself the following questions:

a) Why do I need to know how is the experience of the meditative state?

b) Where are my doubts coming from?

c) Why do I need those doubts? What are they trying to tell me ?

d) How have I created this question?

All the answers are inside you. You're far more intelligent than you think!

Peace!

Deep meditation is just like the deep sleep.

Do you have a body in deep sleep?

Four state, three state, two state, one

Your state, his state, no state, none

In other words I wouldn't get hung up on states... If you get drunk, angry, fatigued, shocked, etc., all of those are states too. No less false and fleeting and unspecial than any other state.

Yes, very enlightening.  Instead what we should be interested in is that which remains the same in absolutely all states.

It was just a simple question I don't know anyone that meditates or is interested in these topics so I figured that this could be the right place for me to share my experiences and also I was curious to hear about others.

I was surprised by how it turned out to be.

Unless you're falling asleep, you're doing it well, that's exactly what happens when you let go.

@SaaraSabina this is a good place to share and talk about your experiences. I love the disappearing in meditation every morning. Makes for beautiful days. Blissful really. So many opportunities in terms of perspective. Keep sharing.
