I don't think it's a problem to fap and use porn. But if one do it just as a distraction, then it's really harming I think. 

If you are not in relationship I think it's perfectly fine, and even if you are in a relationship as well. 

When I choose to do it, I never do it as a distraction. It comes from deep sexual desire, like once or twice a week. 

One should choose porn material wisely, I like amateur material where you get that "girl next door" feeling, where everything unfolds naturally, almost as if you were a fly on the wall that can see their private meeting in the bedroom. 

Also, keep your fantasy at highest level, imagine how it would be to interact with that particular girl. See it as a luxury, don't hurry, set the time frame as if you really had a meeting irl. It's the CONSUMING thing that is toxic. Don't treat porn as a consumption. 

Technology can be misused or used. Using porn is not problematic, and let the desire arise to a certain level before you open up any porn material. 

Also, see something that mimic reality, that starts with clothes on. Maybe it take 10 minutes to undress, and maybe another 10 min to undress from panties and bras.  That's the material one should seek out for. 

And don't hurry for climax, be close to climax for a certain time, imagine what she smells like, how warm her body is, how her ears and lips tastes like when you kiss them. Imagine you lock directly into her eyes instead of a screen.

Observe her whole body, what's her feet look like, what her knees and shoulders look like. How is her hair, how is she breathing. Don't let anything about her go unnoticed. 

Now, when you finally ejaculate, it will be a strong one, and your brain is unable to tell if it was a real sexual meeting or not.

And afterwards you don't have that quilty feeling as often comes after real one night stands. All those worries, did I exploit her, did I pick up a disease, will she become in love with me, will I get emotions for her. Did I sell out my integrity. What to do, how to behave when I run into her in future. 

All those worries you never get with porn! 

But consume it wisely, and a partner is always MUCH better of course. 

But porn as a spice in life is pretty damn good given that you don't have to deal with any post anxiety! 

And yes, as many already pointed out, don't always use porn, use only your fantasy and imagination most of the time.

But when you really crave for that spice, use that luxury that internet brings!

@Shin Really wish to get that upvote feature back. 

I can honestly say that NoFap started me on my self actualization journey and is a huuuuuge boost in confidence and motivation. I will no give that up for 5 min of pleasures. I mean, really why do you fap?`What is the reason? If you want, sex get sex and don't settle for less. That is the point of self actualization right? Not settling for mediocre. And let me tell you, sitting in front of your computer and unloading your balls to some guy fucking some other girl you would not get to fuck you is as mediocre as it can get.

In my experience as long as your root chakra is open and flowing than masturbating once a week is okay. As long as it’s blocked it will become an addiction. If it’s free and flowing than the desire will hardly be there.

porn isn't just the only problem, it is also ejaculation.

If you quit porn and masturbation, but still have sex with ejaculation, it will take more than 90 days to reset your engine.

Even after 90 days hardmode, ejaculation will still be a problem, especially if you have sex multiple times a week.

The only way to solve this is to learn how to great sex without ejaculation.

@LiakosN Yes! It's not some New Age hippie dippie BS. For me it's fusing the feminine and masculine energy within me. Merging them together, or better yet making love to myself without actually physically touching anything during meditation. Breathe deeply into the sexual energy in the hips, let it completely consume you without resistance. Then you will know when the time is right when to breathe it up, up your back and out the top of your head.
