leg spazzing during meditation

4 posts in this topic

Hey world. So I know that weird shit can happen during meditation. I've watched Leo's "The dark side of meditation" video, and I think I made a list of all the random painful stuff. I've previously felt sharp pains in my face, in which the video said would happen. But recently my leg has just sort of been spazzing, and its not necessarily painful, just really uncomfortable.

I would just let this pass, and hope it goes away. But it really gets in the way of me trying to meditate. If I try hard enough I can manage to get through it, but I'd like to know what I can about it. Or at least some reassurance that it will go away soon enough.

Also add more magnesium to your diet and do some exercises to release tension. (gym, yoga, running...). It Will pass.

Sounds like restless legs syndrome to me. As AleksM said magnesium helps alot with this.
It also has to do with dopamine, if you have a withdrawl from something it might happen for a certain period until recovery.

you may simply be obstructing the blood flow into your leg by sitting cross legged when a bone of one leg is pressing onto to the other and squeezing the artery. I get that very often.

Of course could be something else like guys already suggested above.
