How to increase my creativity?

7 posts in this topic

Hello guys, whats up?

I really want to be a more creative person in my life and want to open up myself to art(music, songwriting, acting).

The problem is, that there are some times, when I truly feel creative, but most of the time I didn't feel that creative power inside myself.

So are there any ways I could wake up those creative forces to become a true artist?

Maybe drugs like weed could probably help you to increase your creativity(Snoop Dogg or Wiz Khalifa as a good example).

Thanks a lot guys :)

Practise meditation for 1 hour atleast and try to increase the quality of meditation every single day.

As you get deeper and deeper your creativity increases.

If you are connected to your true self, you will get access to the infinite power of creativity.

I think the key is to hone your skills (new or old ones) to do that i recommend doing deliberate pratice and deep work there probably is no quick fix to this other than doing the work it takes

I remember that feeling. It's very simple. Just create. As is everything. Stop. Go. Do. Don't. Be cool with you.

Balance helps though, If you're about to consume something. Lets say a funny 20 min South Park episode or a 45 min show.

Before you can watch it. Create that amount of times worth of anything. Create then consume.

Use distraction, don't let it use you. If you look at the creative, successful human folk. They always work when they don't want too. If you don't have anything to say, paint or express. Fuck it, express that "I'm bored, what to say, etc. over and over and over and over and over....until....something new

Check out a book called The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. Classic book that has been used by creatives to break their blocks.

The more you tap Source, the more you tap creativity.

Freedom from the old invites what is new. And what is new implies creativity. Creativity is dynamic, active, alive.

Thought is always old, static, anything influenced by thought is invention. To add to or modify. Not truly new or creative. So if thought is depended upon to be creative this attemp will be nothing other than modified imitation. Creativity in its deepest sense is when thought is not. When the center ceases.

Freedom from the self is the movement of creativity.

Artist of the past have been known to take time before working on there craft to become  free of there sense of self.
