Motherhood and High quality consciousness

10 posts in this topic

I can notice that majority of women change after giving birth... In most of cases they are radiant, genuinely satisfied/loving/giving/caring/fulfilled, etc. - having all these characteristics of high quality consciousness.

Is it possible that giving birth can be a catalyst to hitting/reaching high quality consciousness spot? Let's say, just 'a spot', not it's entirety?

Any higher monkeys/apes with thoughts on that?

@Samurai Y There's no doubt that giving birth is a profound spiritual and heart-opening experience. Then there's the real test: can that quality of consciousness be extended to relationships in general, not just toward and around one's children? But parenting I suppose could be thought of as a kind of spiritual practice. Having raised two kids, I know for sure there will be tests. Life has a way of doing that.

Indeed. Her womb is a doorway to great spiritual growth as well. Mankind is created in the womb, she is the beholder of creation. When she realizes that and that she is nothing at the same time, God-consciousness can be arrived at.

@Samurai Y It's a nice-sounding theory, until you realize how many unconscious and horrible mothers there are.

In a sense, loving your own child is the easiest thing in the world. It's directly part of your self-agenda.

Try loving something which is against your self-agenda. That's the real test of your love.

But of course, millions of parents grow from the process of having kids. It's a good step in the right direction, but usually not enough.

Notice that many animal mothers will fight to the death to defend their babies. That isn't the same as high consciousness.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Yeah no, in the western world, childs are just here to please the ego, because they think it will make them happy.

It does, for like what, a few months, a year or two, then their childs becomes a burden to them (and they secretly resent them).

There is no real relationship between a mother and a child in our "civilized" world, it's just "do that, do this, and maybe I will "love" you for a second or two".

It's a owner-slave relationship, nothing more.

@Dan Arnautu Of course it's a generalization, but it is quite accurate, just go to any hypermarket and watch.

@Shin That's a hasty generalization. Not all mother-child relationships are like that in the modern world.

High amounts of dopamine and other 'feel good' chemicals get released. Then those crush into postpartum. High quality consciousness doesn't fluctuate at the whim of brain chemicals like that.

All my Male friends have had the same change recently after their partner having the first child. Its very interesting Indeed almost like a semi-awakening. Babies basically come from and radiate source energy so there is no wonder everyone feels a slight shift in consciousness when a newborn arises especially for the mother and father and more spiritually attuned, highly emphatic beings.

Unconditional Love instantly shifts you to a higher consciousness and the trigger is the Light of the Newborn as they seem to radiate a similar energy to Enlightened masters or Energy of a nature that is UN-touched by man. I sometimes feel the same energy from babies especially newborns as to when i am walking deep in the forest and breathing that fresh air.

That's how i see it at least :P

Great speech by this mom...At around 12:15, the ego was mentioned. I was surprised -- wasn't expecting that. Nope, it's not easy to raise children.
