Self-Actualization = Kierkegaardian Leap of Faith?

6 posts in this topic

Hi all.

I started taking Leo's content more seriously after experiencing an intense nihilist episode in which my achievements such as building a 100k following became meaningless to me, as well as everything else in the world (the religion I was brought up with). As a result I gained 5kg, abused Kratom, binged sugar, developed anxiety etc...

During this time I head-fucked myself with tonnes of existential philosophy books. I stumbled across Kierkegaard.

I consider myself pantheistic / 95% atheist. The idea of taking a kierkegaardian leap of faith in God is a huge turn off for me, especially after being fed a load of shit for 18 years of my life (now 22).

But the message I feel I'm getting from maslow's idea of self-actualization is that you must take a leap of faith. Not in a man with a beard in the sky, but in the self-development process. Thoughts?

I have a habit of intellectualizing myself into misery and am struggling to come to terms with Leo's life purpose advice, that often young people have to try many new things before finding it. I'm afraid I could go through life trying many things and not find it which happens to many people (James Altucher for example).

It seems like that from the Ego’s perspective.  But the Ego is the true leap of faith.  That’s the irony.

You are making this some grandiose thing. There is no leap of faith. Just live your life with passion and joy. That's all self-actualization is saying.

What is the point of living a life you hate? That is just stupidity and laziness. When you realize this, and you get serious about living a good life, you will discover that personal development and raising your consciousness are the best tools for that. And when you raise your consciousness high enough, there you will find God.

All your current ideas about God are wrong, and so were Kierkegaard's.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo GuraHey Leo would you make a video distinguish truth and Truth, god and God. I find those ideas/concepts are so confused.

Whatever happens..
