I just cant seem to get handle on this work. Ive got a list of contemplation topics, meditation ,self inquiry exercises all this stuff . But one thing (which may be a sensitive topic) is masturbation. It takes away my stress ,but also whenever in telling me : ok now its time to inquire , I think , well nooo masturbation is much more relaxing and stuff . And then I dont meditate or contemplate. It really is unmotivating

Meditate for 1 hour per day for 30 days.  Just be the watcher, don’t try to manipulate anything when you meditate.  Just be aware of what is happening.  Note what things are inner and outer sounds, thoughts, inner visualizations, outer touch, inner touch (aka feelings/emotions).  Just watch all of it happen.  Watch that Monkey-Mind do what it does.

I think you need to accept that as a first step.

Don't stress yourself about your self actualization. The process is self-running. You only need to watch yourself without any kind of judgment.

Masturbation can be relaxing, but you should be able to determine how many times you do it and the duration, because those are important points that can make you either exhausted or active throughout your daily life.

Another tip: start simple, start with the easiest stuff for you, and don't multitask.

Good luck ?

The mind is using your personhood against you. Realize that self-inquiry is exactly what helps with this. If you feel like you have some underlying big questions stopping you then contemplate them or maybe read some books.

I would recommend to actually stop masturbation alltogether, sexual energy is the most powerful human energy, if you are able to channel it you will be making huge progress in all other areas of your life.

Simply ask yourself what is pleasure? How does it come about?

Pleasure is fueled by thought and becomes mechanical, and compulsive. Inquiry into thought is the only way to see when pleasure is arising. There is the memory of the sensation felt in that experience and now you want to recapture it again. It gives you a feeling of calmness and security. Like a self soothing state. Pleasure is the remeberabce of that feeling derived from thought and there is an impulsive drive to repeat that experience over and over again. Don’t just meditate for one hour. True meditation is an all day affair. Meditation is diligent inquiry into thought “ the You “

It’s an art

Art of living
