I can’t move past this.

This is a massive stumbling block in my life right now, and affecting my ability to move forward. 

First of all, I know my relationship has an expiry date. This is something I’m working towards. Building confidence, being financially independent, etc.

Why do I still care so much what his family thinks of me?  Why do I still care if his kids choose to completely ignore me?

@spicy_pickles Yes, you can get past these issues.  Make a project out of doing enlightenment work.  Start with a daily meditation habit.
