Chasing Money First Before My Life Purpose?!

4 posts in this topic

Hi! So I am already started my business which I am sure that will be successful. My point is, I know Leo said to not chase money but the reason I started my business was to be able to make alot of money so I can quit my job and be able to live off passive income and not have to stress about money in my life. And that I would have more time in my life and not have to go to a 9-5 job anymore and I would be able to have the time and resource to search for my life purpose. Is this a good move or should I drop this business and go deep throttle and search for my life purpose ? Because I feel like having money would make it easier for me to find my life purpose.

@ExodiaGearCEO Both ways are possible. But there is a big trap with the cash-first approach. Once you get cash coming in, you will get hooked on it, and realistically, you will not drop it to go look for a life purpose. "Why?" you will reason, "Here I am already succeeding. Let me just do more of this."

And besides, chasing money often doesn't pan out. It's hard to succeed at something you're not deeply passionate about.

@Leo GuraI just watched the passive income video. Ah that's pretty scary in the video you said we should balance personal development and working on the passive income on the side. Okay that's what I should do :)

@ExodiaGearCEO just a little counter balance for freedom’s sake, I did both the practices and the pouring myself into work for a few years, and set up multiple passive incomes. I immediately moved to full time practices, retreats, trips, writing, better fitness, better eating, etc. I know this will be ego pegged by most, my intention is to ease suffering one might be bringing on their self holding the perspective they are forsaking their path to a zombie work life. You won’t lose the longing. There’s a season for everything. Life is simple & complicated.
