Pursuing Enlightenment And Raising A Family?

5 posts in this topic

So I'm fairly new to the whole spirituality thing. Currently, I'm 19 and I had put some thought into getting married and having kids maybe in my 30s, not that I necessarily must raise a family but still It would be nice at some point. So I was wondering if pursuing enlightenment and raising a family go hand by hand? Or is it too difficult to go the non-dual path with wife and kids?

They don't go hand in hand, but you can accomplish both. Just don't start both at the same time. Do one, then the other.

Plenty of enlightened people have kids.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

If you thinking about family and have not yet met a partner, you should definitely put 100% focus on your own growth. Then, if family is your thing, she will come to you and you can support each other in this work.

A partner is the best spiritual master you will ever find ?

In my experience, at first it doesn't seem like it at all, - not at all, but looking back after a few years, it really went intimately hand by hand .

Self inquiry is something you can do while having big challenges and often best while having them.
