Studying Issue

1 post in this topic

Dear actualized community

HELLO!

In fact after getting graduated with a master in law I was the first student of my class room (2016), in the same year an administrative decision was taken by the minister that in order to study in the PhD degree you should pass an exam in all the fields of your studying area and one selected field (in law surely) and that "there is no deference between the first student and the last one, everyone has got to pass the national exam" another professor told me that if you won the first rank, than you should be asked why! (Means that I need to prove that I am worthy, it's like he said that five years of studying and passing more than 10 exams and getting the best marks in most subjects it’s not a solid prof of my ability!)

that's why I am still unable to win that exam and I feel angry and fully charged when I try to study for it (can't even go deep), and I feel really sad when I see last ranked or less ranked student get passed the exam but honestly, I do not envy them at all, I can’t explain the feeling of anger when I sit to study, I directly get away after few minutes.

another case I saw three student that was first in their class rooms and still the "national PhD exam" beating theme for two years (I really can’t know what’s the reason behind our failure) and I see the frustration & the unsatisfying emotion in their face, it's like being "kicked out"!

Another trouble I am suffering from is that I can never accomplish a studying task on time, this because I made a schedule to study the ninth topics which are (1 Administrative organisations,2 Administrative contracts,3 Administrative decisions, 4 constitutional Law,5 Administrative conflicts,6 Civil and administrative procedures,7 Administrative settings,9 Administrative responsibility), the Technic which I am willing to use is spaced repetition but I really don’t know how can I repeat the first topic while I study the fifth topic (it’s an example). All of these topics need to be perfectioned, because you get only 1 question from them. (I feel stressed when I remember this)

I ended up feeling sad and I really start doubting my ability, I’ve contacted a student from Germany and I asked for some advises the guy told me that only repeating will be useful in the long term, but what are the good times that I can settle to repeat the materials? And how many times, I believe that I need a big plan.

For that reason, I downloaded an e-book called the psychology of study, and the Hermann Ebbinghaus’s book about the forgetting curve, this is because I found that More than 50% goes away after one month, and in fact I can’t apply what is in them on my studies, I need qualified student or therapist or PhD’s (or maybe anyone) to tell me what to do…

if you can just give me a list of Technics that help me study better and remember what I've studied.

thank you, very much and warm regards!
