How Do I Learn To Distinguish Between Meditations

2 posts in this topic

There are a ton of meditation techniques and a lot of them just seem straight the same to me, or in practice, im not able to distinguish the nuances between the different kinds. is this something that just comes with practice? if so, what meditations would you consider tricky and what meditations will bring me to the level at which I can distinguish different meditations?

There is no need for a specific technique. The point of meditation is just to be conscious. If someone tells you a certain technique is better than an another, it is only true in his experience, and it doesn't matter anyway.

Just be conscious, be conscious of you thoughts, of your emotions, your body sensation ...

Doesn't really matter, what matters is that you do it every day untill you are doing it without any intention. The line between meditation and normal consciousness will begin to blur, and eventually fade entirely.

Just trust in the process, you will need faith, and i don't mean conceptual faith in a god or something, i mean faith in you, have faith in the intuition that makes you want to do it.

Whoever lives in love lives in God

And God in them
