Not sure if I understand this, but does everyone get enlightened when they die?

If so, what do you loose by not getting enlightened while you are still alive?

These are just jokes. Research, self-inquiry, contemplation, meditation is part of the very personal journey to find out. The question cannot just be asked and the answer is not straightforward.

@Yellow everyone is enlightened when they die, because they see it was all them the whole ‘time’. I lose nothing from not being enlightened, but that has zero relevance. What do you lose by not becoming enlightened?

Based on my glimpses, "it" is not something that one "gets" or "becomes". There is nothing to attain or become. You are zero steps from enlightenment in this very moment. Nothing you can think or do is not "it".

The price is living your normal life as you would do. The more important question in my opinion is what exactly is the price to get Enlightened? - don't you think so.

Enlightenment is process not a end all do it and  Finished  kind of thing. Enlightenment is about seeing the the Truth of NOW the reality of NOW knowing what and who you are Now. Enlightenment is about immersion the present moment completely.    As for death deal with that when it is your present I am sure that is a long way off for you . No one can tell you what death is or what you take with you  or how you will be after death ,   if they are it is speculation.
