Vitamin Supplements -- Good Or Bad?

11 posts in this topic

Are synthetic vitamin supplements are waste of money? Trying to clean up diet whilst saving money is difficult. The synthetic vitamins are cheap and I want B vitamins in particular which are hard to find in healthy foods. Are multivitamins and B-complex vitamins a scam?

It's better to eat them from the natural form but in most cases the requirements are high and we should need to eat 3 bags of oranges to meet the amount of vitamin C we really need (not what the fake health agencies say).

There are some micronutriens that you can obtain by superfoods of herbs that are dehidrated or powdered.

Are you vegan?

If you want vitamins just eat more fruit throughout the day :) The effects and delivery of the vitamins is of a higher intelligence when you consume the whole food itself containing the vitamin compared to the the vitamin on its own.

Acidophilus is worth it and some others  that will do you good but most are a waste of money. Juicing would give you more in way of concentrated vitamins and minerals. Other than that blend and eat more fresh vegetables.  Fruits should be eaten much less because of the sugar 20 % fruit 80% vegetable is the right balance.

@Samuel Garcia  Vitamins are basically non regulated especially in the u.s. So finding natural sources is more reliable.

I would suggest if you really want to do supplements, find a wholefood source, a bacterial-based supplement. Eating synthetic vitamins will do you more harm than good - have a look at "Supplements Exposed by Brian Clement"

Sometimes supplements are needed, if you are vegan for example you need to take B12 otherwise you just have to pay attention to your diet and make sure about calcium, vitamin D, iron, B12 those are one of the most underrated or easily forgotten vitamins/minerals (you will have less of others too unless you eat enough vegetables).

Actually those studies have been debunked years ago. More recent Studies show that people who eat excessive meat and animal products are actually more deficient in B-12 than Vegans/Vegetarians. The whole Iron, Protein, B-12 ect.. in most cases were myths created by the meat/pharma industries to keep people focusing on what's opposite of optimal health so they can keep making money of peoples lives. This is common knowledge among conscious health & longevity enthusiasts.

Plants have much more bioavailable iron and actually more per gram in some plants, more bioavailable protein and B-12 comes from the soil/bacteria not animal products so you can get enough from organic produce(some unwashed root veggies or mushrooms) or sea vegetables/algae ect..

As for Calcium if it isn't from plants it actually causes harm to our bodies especially from dairy cause its excessive for our bodies the amounts that are in animal products and noway near as compatible as plant calcium so you don't need as much as we are told. If anything.. Magnesium, K2 and Iodine are far more underrated and important than how much Calcium is pushed.

The reason B-12 is a big thing these days is because it was only pushed out when mass amounts of people started to become vegan/vegetarian when it takes anywhere from 5-15 years or more to become deficient in B-12 as the body circulates it very well. In many cases as well, when over-consumption of a singled-out supplement is used(not from whole food itself) it can have the tendency to weaken and or exhaust our bodies natural levels of that substance, so that is another thing to take into consideration.

Hope this clears somethings up, cause its best to always keep an open mind these days as we are in the age of rise of truth and information so there will be many fluctuations until everything becomes more and more collectively aware and solid. Understanding how Nature works to its core and universal functions is one of the best aids you can have these times if you are unsure of things because if you understand how nature works, you understand how your body works better than experts in the field that do not.
