What Do I Really Want To Know?

6 posts in this topic

So in the last few weeks I've modified my meditation and implemented a self-inquiry in the end. There were two mini insights, which were interesting, but mostly I felt resistance.

@Leo Gura mentioned that one should seek to understand the substance of reality rather than the self.

When I asked myself what I really wanted to know, it was simply: How can all of this exist?

Should I follow the question I seem to be more interested in, or is it my "ego" not wanting to be inspected?

Both are probably true:

  1. You have a genuine desire to understand why reality exists.
  2. You def don't want that ego inspected.

It's a tough call.

The Self and Reality are ultimately identical. So both roads lead to the exact same place, but through different scenery.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@youngshinzen one place to start might be quantum physics. Even just the lighter cartoony YouTube stuff. It might help an awaking of the physical self being the same stuff as the rest of physical stuff (relativity) , and how there really isn’t any physical stuff (superposition).         Funny how everything that doesn’t matter, is called matter. Is there a deep sense of humor innately in Love? Lot of funny shit in the cosmos.

@youngshinzen It's not really an either/or choice, it's more a matter of style and priority. You'll explore both questions in the end:

  • What am I?
  • What is reality?

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
