Boring Life

Why everytime i want to feel to be myself , later on or the next day i feel bored  , through out the day i just sit and meditate and just conscious in every thing I'm frustrating...  help to ease this

What is it that gets bored? Is what you are that feeling of boredom or that that is aware of being bored?

Yeppers. Everything simply “IS”. Yet, my ego finds that extremely threatening and unpalatable and will do anything to distract. . . It’s just so boring. . . 

But when my mind is allowed to add to “IS”, things get nice and juicy, sometimes hot and  spicey. That “IS” becomes “beautiful clouds”. That “IS” becomes some jackass allowing his dog to run free in the nature center. And let’s not forget all that “ISing” in my head! That “IS” becomes the reason our society is fucked up. Oh, and that “IS” becomes the answer to why I procrastinate!!! He shoots, he scores!!!!!!

Sometimes I enjoy the feeling of just being. Yet, I generally find it boring as hell. I’ve sat on many a cushion with a quiet mind, then thought “I’ve got 20 more minutes of this? Fuck that. I’m telling stories!!! “. And boy can my mind create stories. It’s like a free movie! 

The only thing I actually like about psychedelics is when my ego dissolves and just being becomes filled with fascination and awe. Hopefully I can bring that in my sober life, but my ego often gets in the way.

You might be controlling yourself!  That’s a trap.  Stop trying to act enlightened and just let go.  You might be like a quarantined dog that needs to run wild.  Open the gate and let go.  But be keenly aware as you do this.  Don’t control, just be keenly aware.

I had to deal with a lot of boredom as well. (I still have to, sometimes) and my mind just has such a vivid fantasy.. hell, how juicy my thought stories can be! 

but the more you stay on this path, the more you'll enjoy small things in life and just 'being' in general. it's very slow first and you need a lot of patience.. but eventually you'll start feeling the sheer power of the snowball-effect

sit through that boredom. watch it, feel it. tell yourself 'it's ok' 'it's ok to feel this way'. where is it? how does it feel? welcome and get to know it, eventually you'll become at peace with it
