Noob Question, What's The Point Of Taking Enlightenment Seriously?

are you seriously enjoying what life has to offer? or are you just hooked on an unfulfilling dopamine rush.

@AlldayLoop  That is very true. Everything you learn in life can be used as a tool.

In many fields people describe the aim of the field as the only thing worth pursuing.

You yourself have to decide how serious you take this path. You can be as extreme as Leo, or don't do it like the regular folk or somewhere in between. Make you own measure.

From my experience I can recommend you reading about spirituality and self development and work on yourself everyday. But don't take it too seriously. Life has many great aspects and your life can be super awesome and fulfilling without "enlightenment". This world has so much to offer it's crazy. Just make sure to stay open minded and always calibrate, learn and stay healthy

If you are talking to the body-mind organism, then for it to let go of everything, it needs to simply kill itself.

If you are talking to the subject that is witnessing the body-mind organism's life and actions (the Atman or w/e) then you are talking to no-one. 

Who are you talking to? Who gets enlightened? Who are the other 99.9% who don't get enlightened?

The ilusory ego created by the mind is who's doing. The true self is just awareness with no power over the body-mind.

If you say that the ego isnt doing is like saying that the software insnt doing anything with the hardware.
