Suffering From Introversion

5 posts in this topic

Hi there every one, I've been wanting to quit from being an introverted guy for some time now, but hasn't been successful in no way. When I see other people experience life in the ways I am not able to do, honestly, I feel jealous. I don't simply see the point of being an introvert, let alone all the opportunities I feel I am losing. I read a lot online about the pros of being an introvert but haven't had any instant relief. Is there a way I can stop thinking about it ? I know the greatest people ever have been mostly introverted here and there. But the people around me are all extroverted and I can't find any who shares some common grounds with me... Confused and overwhelmed...

@ArasH why are you looking on the internet about pros and cons of introversion? and why the hell are you using people around you as models of happiness?

talk to them. ask them if they're truly happy.

this is what i found when i took the courage to do it: they're far far away from happiness. most of them are just acting out from a deep feeling of despair.

throw away this comparison game altogether. you're not the only one who's jealous. jealousy is a common pattern among unconscious people, no matter if they're introverted or extroverted, rich or poor, beautiful or ugly.

All that being said I completely agree, But the thing is I really crave to find people like myself. The ones whom I can relate to and interact with. Besides, the problem is not they being so happy but that they get to experience the things that I wanna try out like partying and all the shitty work they do.

If you're truly introverted, then there is nothing to do except accepting it.
Being introvert simply means you need more time alone than an extrovert.
Of course, if you compare yourself to an extrovert, you're not gonna be happy, since you think the good life is the life of an extrovert ...

I didn't accept it all of my life (didn't know it existed though), and of course I wasn't happy, since I was always going out at parties, socializing all day long, not understanding why I couldn't be as attractive, happy and funny as everyone else.

How could you be attractive if you always want to be somewhere else ?
How could you be happy if you are always tensed  ?
How could you be funny if you are always depleted ?

That's not possible.
