I'm So At Peace That It Is Scaring Me

11 posts in this topic

Hey guys, I recently started meditating again a month ago for 30 minutes a day. I realized that I feel a lot more at peace than I did before. But, recently I feel like I am so at peace its scary, like it feels abnormal. Anyone else feel this way sometimes?

The human mind has an upper limit on happiness. You gotta stretch that ceiling just like stretching a muscle.

If you're mindful you'll be able to see how your mind creates suffering to even-out the excess happiness you're starting to feel. The mind will concoct problems and anxieties out of the blue for no good reason simply to balance you out.

After a nice meditation high usually comes a meditation low. And it goes like this in cycles, up and down, up and down -- for years.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. So if I keep meditating that ceiling will keep stretching? Thanks! By the way, thanks for all the work you put into your videos. Your videos have made a huge impact on my life.

Yup, indeed. Push your happiness comfort zone. Relax every time the body and mind starts to tense up with anxiety and worry. Just relax and give yourself more self-acceptance, more self-love.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Why is it scaring you? What's the belief?

@WelcometoReality well it felt like my mind was trying to bring up problems on purpose. I was very mindful of it, so I paid close attention. I feel that I am at peace majority of my day but sometimes my mind starts to bring up my past or future. I usually just laugh it off but sometimes it gets somewhat scary, because it doesn't like to go away.

Welcome to the other side. B| Take a zip, have some fun and see where it can take you. The peace that you feel right now can be the birthplace of a lot of realizations of what is and what is not. Use this ability to empty yourself so much that your focus starts to surrender to what currently is and stops searching for trouble that is not.

They want reality, so I give 'em a fatal dosage.

@Sukhpaal You may want to read more about this topic in The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. It's a very good book that will open your eyes about how we ourselves keep sabotaging our success and happiness in order to stay at a familiar level.

Read it all, tried it all, can't remember any of it.

It is mind trying to get back in to the drivers seat. Don't fight it, just be with the scaryness.
