Mindfulness Meditation

So I've been doing mindfulness meditation for the last few months. For awhile it helped me with Enlightenment but thats long since stopped. Is there any reasons besides enhancing the senses to continue?

@99th_monkey 20 minutes a day but since my schedule is tight, I would like to replace it with a different meditation.

mindfulness can be used every minute of every day. Its easy to just do it for a bit and the slip  back into day-to-day life. try practicing it as much as you can. When you wake up, before you get out of bed, as you get dressed, brush your teeth, as you drive, while at work, typing on a key board. ect. ect. ( i'm assuming you may or may not do any of these things) Practicing mindfulness while you're actually living your life is much more helpful and can calm the mind... even do it with emotions ( trickier in the heat of the moment so-to-speak)

@99th_monkey I decided to continue it do to some effects I've just noticed today. I could explain this in deep detail but I'm just gonna say the Universe gave me signs to continue.

Funny thing, the universe constantly gives us signs. But we're all too busy to notice. I'm glad you're continuing.
