Important: The Difference Between Here And Now

2 posts in this topic

Being in the here and now

#Understanding non-local consciousness, non-linearity

In short:

A lot of paths for personal and spiritual growth recommend, that we are in the now as much as possible. This means to not be in our mind and think about the past or future but to be aware and observant of the present moment. Besides that we are conscious of our breath and physical body we can go a step further and include in our consciousness the entirety of the world/creation/the whole universe. And than we are not only in the now but also here. When we are here we're also preventing that we go into the mind and besides that,  we also take into consideration all interests of all beings in the whole world/universe/creation regardless of that we're not able to to observe them now with our limited senses.

------

In the assembly of different movements for personal and spiritual growth there is a talk about how important is being with consciousness in the present moment.  To be in the now. Then it also exists a second reminder that talks about that we are here. So what's the differencer between here and now? In our mind we can think about the past or future. And when we're thinking in those two dimensions of course, we're not observant about what's happening around us in the present moment. We lose the consciousness of our nearly environment in the present moment. And so it is recommended to not think about things that are not a part of our present nearly reality and be as much as possible in the consciousness of the present moment. BUT if we are with consciousness in the now there is still a question about how wide and/or complete is our consciousness. Since that we can opperate from the present moment and say to our selves "We are here. I am here. I am effeciently breathing. I am preventing thoughts from deceiving me into thinking about the future or past in connection with things and people that I'm meeting in the present moment. So..I'm not allowing the projection of my past experiences on the present moment." But still we can be very limited with this because we can only take into consideration our nearly reality, only those things that we can see with our eyes in our nearly environment. The other thing is if we opperate from the point of what is here.  Here doesn't only encompass that which we perceive with our limited senses but what is here represents tho whole physical world/the whole physical creation that exists in the present moment regardless of where it's located. So when we are with consciousness in the present moment AND at the same time here, that means that we don't only take into consideration our own interest, our limited reality in the sense of a few kilometers around our physical body but we take into consideration the whole of reality no matter how far it is from our location of our physical body. And with that way/manner/attitude of handling reality than we can take into consideration the interests from all other beings in the whole creation. And that attitude/manner/way enables us that we're truly responsible that we behave as exemplary living being that considers all life, all beings regardless of in what physical form they are and how far they are located from our physical body in that moment. So, I am inviting you that in your attitude towards life your not only taking into consideration your present limited circumstances and besides that you understood the importance of being in the now that your also understanding the importance of taking into consideration the whole of creation/reality that currently exists. ~ Valentin Rozman

Translated from Slovenian. I think that was an extremely important point for you guys to come across so I have fut the effort of translating this. ;)

For me, here and now are one in the same. The only difference in the distinction one makes about it. In this sense you could say consciousness IS the WHOLE from which you view it, while at the same time its just a distinction. I love playing with the limits of rationality and communication.
