Be Able To Cry

10 posts in this topic

After tucking away my emotions for the rest of my life I have big trouble releasing them and accepting them.

I'd really like to just be able to cry so hard that I can let everything go.

I just can't let go.

In the depths of winter,
I finally learned that within me
there lay an invincible summer.

From the gig I went to A few days ago.

Tonight, let go
Let go of everything, inside
Cause I said so
We'll make everything inside alright

Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling dead inside tonight
Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling satisfied inside

The lies, they know
They know every little thing, inside
But I said no
And I'll make everything inside alright

Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling dead inside tonight
Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling satisfied inside

Tonight, let go
Let go of everything, inside
Cause I said so
We'll make everything inside alright

Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling dead inside tonight
Cause I am leaving it behind
Stop feeling satisfied inside

Hope that helps you ?

@egoeimai Thanks for this. For some reason it really reminded me of Radiohead haha.

@Anirban657 Have been doing @Martin123 's guide. It is amazing, but some things still feel stuck inside of me. Today things happened  that made me feel so sad and dissatisfied with how I look and how I act, what my fear does with me. I just wanna cry it all out.

I feel a lot better after doing the breathing exercises and asking myself why I feel this way, but I still can't get to the core of it.

Actually this one meditation I recommended to you is exactly about what you describe here. Maybe you don't feel called to do it, but I recommend at least maybe listen to it to get an idea in what direction to go. The Shadow work guide from @Martin123 is flawed imo as he portrays more the idea of raising vibration or emotions instead of dropping into or through an emotion afair. But hey, I'm sure you will find your way.
Another thing that helps me personally to get more in touch with emotions is nature. Sitting under a tree is really good making one cry a bit imo.

@Toby I'm already half into the podcast, man that is so good. I felt like Adyashanti really resonated with me. Never really listened to him, but now I'm happy I did.

I will do his guided meditation  soon. Thanks a lot for that btw!

Feels great, became a strange habit for me, crying myself to sleep every night, but those times are no more.

You kind of have to force it the first time, focus you mind around your lungs with some sad music.

Primal therapy, possibly in combination with dearmoring or pressure point massage, or maybe go to a massage therapist, also just exercise is good to get into the body and let the energy flow

I just can't let go.

You can't let go about wanting to let go. Your desire to let go, is probably what is blocking you to let go.
By placing so much focus upon your tendency to repress your emotions, you over analyze the emotions also when there is room to let go.

Can you try to just be as you are, and let go about monitoring your emotions either way.
Don't work to let them go, don't work to let them in. Like a child, don't pay attention to it and the child will play on its own sooner or later.
Let life just happen, it's easy and hard because it cannot be thought, you have to do nothing really.

Perhaps this is too spiritual an answer, and not what you are searching for?
