I think it's not too uncommon that we see this mindset amongst some teachers, after all, the negative ego structure was created specifically to deny emotionally personal feelings, and so it loves superior identity, and what's better than to be 'beyond the world'? Especially since it's evens sort of true, something to watch out for.
