It's a one step at a time process, repetition, just like how you got to where you are now. You chose a victim perspective, and have been repeating it. Use the same process. Allow time. I watched a video earlier today that touched on these points as well about the gradual process of enlightenment and I feel that it can be applied to this advice. Follow @Nahm method on this in the most useful post Write it and hang it. 9) practice self love 10 ) Visualization used by @Leo Gura during his weight loss journey, it's called creative visualization. 11) Increasing your will power by achieving step by step Baby step based mini goals. Posted July 3, 2017 The problem is that you as an ego cannot control life. So if you want to be a "creator" or "controller" of life you will simultaneously also be a victim and vice versa. Posted July 3, 2017 @Annetta Have you ever encountered CBT? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? I've found it to be an immensely useful, evidence-based approach to challenging my automatic thoughts, interpretations, beliefs, and their resultant emotions. I don't know where in the world you live, but in the UK I know there are many free services which offer short courses, and I expect this is true in many other areas of the world. It is the assumption that you are someone who can control life. If everything goes "right" outwardly or emotionally/mentally you then call yourself a creator. If things go "wrong" and you are sad about it, you call yourself a victim. It is the same mindset which shows up differently. The only way to be free from it you have to question who you are and if it is really you (as a person) who is in charge of life. You see then that you create the universe but you are not in charge/control of it. This is not a mindset but an insight. A lot of PD-teachings and New Age teachings will tell you otherwise. Posted July 5, 2017 @Annetta In a nutshell it's about 1) understanding how our thoughts, behaviours, and feelings all interact and influence one another (often in automatic / subconscious ways), so that we can 2) learn how to challenge, interrupt, and alter them. It's very practical: simply understanding the theory doesn't work, you have to apply it in practice, but it's very useful for identifying what your negative thinking patterns are, and directly challenging them Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
