There is nothing morally wrong with it. I would imagine that doing it with awareness can also give you insight into the nature of reality, if you treat it as a meditation. However, a lot of people are addicted to it and feel spent afterward because it takes a lot of energy. Many men try to refrain from ejaculation because they're trying to send the energy, that they would normally use for orgasm, upward for 'higher' purposes like intellectual or spiritual work. You can look into spiritual practices such as Tantra and Alchemy which talk about transmuting sexual energy to more exalted energetic expressions.

@John Iverson

Every sinner becomes a saint. In the beginning of a spiritual journey , everybody is a sinner without exception. You can't start your journey as a saint, if you are a saint, there is no need for a spiritual journey. Then you can sit silently and wait for enlightenment.

Celibacy is not a disciple, it is a consequence of a meditative life.

Some societies consider it as morally and spiritually wrong.

Is masturbation and the sexual fantacies in my thoughts breaking the rule of peace? Enlightenment and resulting it to a bad karma?

You are doing thousand and one thing to break the rule of peace, why do you only bother about masturbation ? If you will suppress sexual  energy , you will be become more angry, if you will suppress anger too, you will become more greedy. So, try to live meditatively first, then your energy will be transformed. You can't begin with repression, in a modern society.
