5 posts in this topic

Just wondering how much time people devote to contemplating researching and practising all this inner world..

I noticed I spent the entire day doing this and outside was a lovely day..

I had to wonder gee have I got this balance right??

Being in nature is like doing self inquiry, it shows you that everything is connected and you are one with all.  I do try to get outside and walk in the trees, look at the birds, I've even tried to make eye contact with animals, just being very present and quiet and appreciative of the beauty around us is so inspiring.  It's amazing to see how alive everything is if you look and listen closely.  Being outside on a beautiful day...if you can get to a natural setting is worth 10 days of study and internal work.  Feel the beauty, see how you are connected, pay attention to every form of life you see and you would have done your "self" the greatest good!  It is so awe inspiring to see creation alive around you!  Don't miss out.

If I had my way, if I could truly live out a passion, I would spend so much of my time outdoors enjoying the sights and sounds and feeling the peace all around.  I live in a terrible climate for this in Northern Ontario Canada and the weather is brutal.  I live for the days that allow me to be outside.  It is the answer to my questions and It is such a great meditation to walk consciously in nature.  There can be no problems while you rest your mind in this setting.

People are so sick from urban confines of buildings and concrete jungles that new age or open minded doctors are actually prescribing nature therapy....They are telling them to get outside and get into nature as a form of self healing and self help.

That old corny cliche saying is NOT wrong.......You have to Stop and smell the Roses......literally!!

:)

Examine what you believe to be impossible, and then change your beliefs.

If you just do meditations and nothing else that is like preparing and preparing and never going to the examination. The test has to be there every day.

People need to change the attitude that exists about work, particularly in the Western mind. Meditation should be part of the work, not separate from it. Work is a necessary part of your transformation.

Work and relaxation are not contradictory. In fact, the more you put yourself into work the deeper you can go into relaxation. So both are important. The harder you work the deeper you can relax. Work is valuable. It will bring humbleness and silence. People should feel that their work is something very special, and that whatever work they do is respectable.

The emphasis should be on full-time work. 6 hours a day is perfectly okay. For 6 hours you should forget everything else – forget the whole world, forget your problems – whatever work it is, be total in it.

@Prabhaker hahaha. It was a public holiday here... kinda funny the assumptions we make tho LOL..

But yeah I do try and be present as i work. but the more i focus on what i am doing the more asleep I become..

I find there two sorts of working focus..

1.when the worlds fades away

2.when everything operates like one big machine..

I usually find the worlds disovles and my focus goes into one point..

I think I would prefer to experience the one where I become a part of everything like a big orchestra.. I reckon that would feel amasing tooo..

Thoughts/ experiences??
