Monthly Meditation Results

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys.

I meditate for twenty minutes everyday.

What are the results that I would get in 2 months?

I wanna check if I'm on the right track

Same as you, Im at my 8 month straight of meditating but Im still struggling on mind chattering. You can't see result in just two months, as Leo said it takes years, but I think It depends on the person.

I've found that deep breathing when starting a meditation session eliminates inner dialogue.  One focuses with their mind very closely on the in breath and outbreath.  By using the mind to focus on inhale/exhale it makes it harder for the mind to chat about bs.  After I do 10-20 deep breathings I breath slower and more relaxed and the chatter is pretty much gone.  When annoying chatter comes back I revert back to deep breathing.  ALSO:  Every time I return to deep breathing, when retuning to normal breathing, the silence increases.  I then stay with the silence, and this has a residual effect of quieting the mind for the remainder of the day!

There is no point in meditation, no results, no answers.  We meditate to meditate.

I haven't been meditating that long, but I could really feel some things change during the first weeks.
For instance, I noticed that I am having insights more often now.
Another aspect is that meditating day after day didn't get me better and better experiences every time i sat on the mat; In fact, I  had only two truly amazing experiences until now, I could describe this at staying on the plateau for a long period and then having a small progress, then staying on the plateau again and so on.

Hope that helped!

I felt a lot more calm and love for myself after the first couple of days. Now I don't want to miss my morning meditation routine!

I can't believe myself sometimes.
