Whenever we draw a line somewhere, "not two" exhales a long deep sigh.  The world appears to us as having boundaries, but in reality they are all mental constructs.  The more we talk about this, the more confused the mind grows.

I've been thinking over this, and I'm not quite sure what you're recommending. I get a lot of different advice here, so I have to ask for clarification. Are you suggesting I should quit theorizing and constructing models so much and just focus on direct experience without distraction?

From my answer to your PM:

The important issue to consider is that 'seeking' anything is a function of the ego.  History is littered with famous seekers who have fallen into this trap.

If I were you, I would (keep it simple and) only listen to these two guys:
Rupert Spira
Paul Hedderman
They both arrive at the same place from different directions.

Degrees are specifically demarkations of how groups of people fit into a set path.

Self-actualization specifically involves blazing a new trail.

Do you see how these two things do not fit?

Actualized.org degrees might be one of the most delusional, dangerous ideas proposed... They entirely miss the point of all of Leo's work when it comes to getting us to become self-sufficient learners.

The fruits of this work come from going out into unexplored jungles within your psyche and the physical world of careers/relationships.

When you go into the heart of unexplored jungle there are no giant neon signs to tell you where you are going. If you did see such neon signs, then it would ruin the point of calling the jungle unexplored.

You have to figure out how to tell where you are within the unexplored jungle on your own through direct experience and trial-and-error.

Similarly, you have to be your own judge of where you are in life. No degree can do that for you.

Especially for 'regular' career paths, if you are reliant on degrees as a measure of progress you need to get a baby-blanket and a therapist because you are stuck on infantile metrics for growth.

Elon Musk, Marcus Aurelius, and Martin Luther King did not become who they became by chasing degrees.

a degree is like survey results. it is something we choose to show or not show to bias others into believing into us. or at least to attempt to.

but idk the thing about personal growth - the proof is when I build relationships with ease because I've got a personality that people authentically enjoy. and no wait really even that is not important - the degree is my own experience. I cannot share that in any way, there is no authenticating it, at every point in the journey I feel like I am at a great place and then a year later I think wow there's no way I could've imagined getting here. and yet look, there I used to be, and here I am now.

A degree is useless to me in this way. it is a paper that becomes outdated quickly.
