I can no longer slaughter animals

Apparently eating meat is one of the most expensive, unhealthy (if not moderated appropriately red meat can cause cancer and heart disease), polluting and most difficult ways of eating to facilitate.

I love a good burger though. That said, I could probably go for a nice fake beef burger. Id imagine some companies will and probably already have started selling more alternative foods that mimic the flavor and quality of real meat.

An epistemology listening to science as what diet will work for your body or not it’s not wise

You have to develop an experimental mindset, that’s where your core epistemology must come from.

@integral To me personally the best diet is the died my grandparents feed me when I was a child and I continue that diet to this day! Every thing I ate until I went to highschool was produced on my land and on the household! Cottage cheese! Raw milk, boiled potatoes, boiled eggs, chicken soup, fried beef meat balls, home made yogurt, home made white bread, apple pie, boiled carrots, walnuts, home made butter, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage  etc. When I went to the neighbouring city for highschool I started eating a bit more junk food, a lot of pizzas etc. But the died my grandparents feed me when I was a kid was the best food I ever ate. In conclusion if you wanna eat the healthiest move to the country side and grow your own food.

This is basically the elite dream diet most people would die for.

I get as much as I can organically from a local farm because it’s all pasture raised and it’s the highest quality stuff

I think you’re doing fantastic

Y'all would want to eat like that, but no one wants to wake up at 4 to shovel cow shit in the animal stable, to milk the cow 2 times a day, to spend all your free time on the field preparing haystacks, to manually hoe all the weeds on the rows of potatoes, corn, sun flower, soy etc. To gather all the corn stalks and put them into the fodder cutter so you can fill a tub with chopped corn straws and ground corn and barn from the grains. To grind all the corn beans and grains on the mill, to harvest all the fodder from the fields at fall and gather them in your stall. To use the scythe to cut fresh grass for all the birds and cows... to then preparing the cottage cheese and yogurt. Etc. And I'm damn sure I missed many other things I do just to obtain a bit of food from the animals and the land. I don't use pesticides and I have to manually hoe all the weeds from the plants I raise for animal fodder. Trust me, I am the perfect definition of slave. Not to mention I don't earn any money doing this. I don't have enough land or tractors so I can do it on a larger scale to sell food to other people. I have 1 third of an acre. Here on Europe people have very little land. It is damn hard to slave away all your life working the land and raising animals, it gets boring because every year is the same. But I love it because I have the privilledge to be my own slave for the animals I love and not the slave of some greedy boss. Plus I don't need to go to the gym. I do a ton of cardio every day! Plus the bags of wheat and corn are 40 kg each and I also don't need to lift weights.

@Daniel Balan that’s a great point. Maybe in three years from now you could hire an AI robot to take over the family business. 😅, then maybe you could expand the operation and start selling produce.

@integralThank you for the friendly advice :) But if I had to buy a robot to do all the work I do, I'd rather do exactly what you do right now! Focus 100% on your job and buy the food from a local organic market! I'd have no worries and I could start traveling and enjoy life. :D But I'm good as I am! I am happy that I am alive! The saddest and most suicidal I was in 2021 when I was hospitalized for covid for 1 month, being stuck to a bed for 1 month was horrifiying! We should be happy for being alive and healthy.

Well, you have a unique opportunity, land and housing is very valuable, you don’t ever wanna sell that. Basically right now you technically have financial freedom except you need to work to make your food. But if an AI took over you would have complete freedom because you have 0 expenses and you could sell some of the produce to make extra money so you actually have a business on top of that. You’re on the verge of complete freedom, all you need is a worker to take over the business and then you could go travel the world without any financial stress. Working a job sucks you don’t wanna ever do that. There will be no dream of travelling the world, you’ll just be working to survive and pay bills.

then you could get a hot farm girlfriend and have 20 children! 🤩

I can relate 100% with you! I share the exact same experience!

I finally decided not to eat fish anymore, which is a good thing since it's highly contaminated. Commercial fishing also brutally destroys marine life. I'm also minimizing meat consumption. I'm sure a day working in a slaughterhouse for cows or pigs would be a hard experience, but chickens that have lived in decent conditions is more or less ok to me. Milk protein from pasture-raised cows or eggs are fine too. Maybe it's incongruous, but who cares?
