So I don't see the point of wanting to escape, because there's no point beyond that; There's simply nothing.
Is it even possible to have a non-dual experience? Whether by committing suicide or by dropping enough 5 MeO DMT? If there's always a conscious experience, then there's always an ego clutch.

That said, I love this post. It seemed a bit poetic too. Like describing the self. What it feels like to be a self. Everybody wants enlightenment and speak about awakening but you just described something very wonderful. What it's like to feel like a person. A person that feels trapped in a human body. It's wonderful to me because I sometimes feel that way. Like I don't feel separate; I feel like an individual. All I saw was Absolute perfection. The Absolute speaking. Speaking from a location, a place, limit, here, I am. 

That's why I said it seemed poetic. Like the Absolute writing about itself, with itself, by itself. It wasn't trying to be itself - in a way. It was like one describing what it was like playing a movie role. It was superb. I know I'm exaggerating a bit; but I truly felt that way reading it. 

This isn't even a post that needs advice or anything of the sort. It's one to marvel at. To see and recognize what the fucking Absolute can be. How it can deceive itself. Be anything. Reading your post, to me, was Absolutely freeing. I saw freedom's expression. Abso-fucking-lutely. Excuse my French.

IT IS ONLY ABSOLUTE FREEDOM THAT CAN FEEL TRAPPED. If it weren't Absolutely free and unlimited, it wouldn't even have the desire to feel free. It wouldn't even know it wasn't free and liberated. Your post actually made me realize freedom and liberation more than what an enlightened being can ever reveal. It revealed the true essence of what Absolute freedom, liberation and limitless actually looks like. That's what's obvious. This is awesome.

It's not about that. It's that separation is suffering. It feels like suffering. Nothing is actually separate so one cannot "not be separate". One cannot end suffering.  I would say that more than dissolving the self, what we need to do is dissolve the meaning. When they say the self is illusory and that you are the totality, you remain in a mental framework that you are the experience, the totality, etc. What we need to achieve is being here and now without any meaning. The experience must be absolutely empty of interpretation, of rootedness, of relationship with anything else. Meaning relates and implies an endless chain of relationships. If you say: "I am not the self, I am the complete experience," there are a thousand pages behind that, they are there lurking. It's simpler: no meaning. I used to repeat it constantly: nothing means anything, until in my mind the meaning fell away, then your mind falls away, because your mind without meaning is nothing.

Btw, that doesn't mean that nothing means anything, just that you want to reach a mental state where nothing means anything. Really from an infinite perspective, nothing means anything, but this is a meaning too. It's enough to be now without meaning for a while, absolute empty of the slightest meaning

saying that there is no self is confusing and false, the same as saying there is no meaning. From an infinite perspective, there isn't ; from a finite or relative perspective, there is. Both perspectives are real. If you hit yourself with a hammer, it hurts. Calling that an illusion or unreal is trying to be psychotic without achieving it.

What you're looking for is to be able to place yourself in an infinite or absolute perspective. This isn't achieved by denying the reality of the relative perspective; it's repressive and doesn't work. You have to understand that you're passing from one perspective to another, not that one is real and the other false. If you deny the relative perspective, you achieve nothing because its reality will trap you.

What do you hope to achieve through that experience? Nondual experiences won't replace the need for the daily, balanced, concious, wise lifestyle, if your goal is to have a gracefilled, smooth, enjoyable life. Really those experiences are of no consequence whatsoever. "Total bs" is what I like to call them.

I wonder if permanent non dual state is one of no suffering, not even physical pain. It makes sense the self could desire that state. But who knows, we have ideas of it

It’s odd i don’t talk about it anymore outside my family and doctor. Of the more “normal” things I suffer from is emptiness, dullness, apathy, anhedonia, low libido. Basically like a living zombie
