Am I a Robot?

16 posts in this topic

I am just now coming to grips with how habituated my mind is. My responses to any given situation are robotic. My language is predictable. I am like a computer code of hippie spiritualism mixed with bits of cleverly disguised garbage that I have accumulated throughout my life. Much as one gets attracted to a crush in a way that seems outside of his control, so I have been seduced by fantasies that arouse my desire for creating a personality worthy of your praise. I want to be shown by other people just how cool and radiant I am. In every sentence I speak, if you listen carefully, you can see that I just want to be loved.

This makes me feel a sort of melancholy, but me saying that is the height of said habituation. And of course the labeling of the condition as such is the very condition of which I speak. Is there a way out of this? Is there a way to be so creative and spontaneous that you are not bound by your conditioning? Or am I doomed to keep speaking in circles, turning to that which already exists inside my mind since there is nothing else to reference?

@samijiben Reality is working like a robot. You are a robot looking at reality. Everything about you can be compared to a computer. You are infinite imagination inside a robot that mind wipes itself so it can look at itself from a fresh perspective. You can change anything about your robot metaphysically. And some say even physically. By changing yourself metaphysically you change your reality. If you see a problem look at the imagination first and say what is wrong.

Humans dont appreciate what a computer is. We literally took our human headset and made it into a robot we can use that acts like how a human works to God. And we did it subconsciously and logically by studying reality. If reality was a simulation and God was real reality would be all information ever and something would have to contain the information and Its name is God and its real. The name of Reality God is the only real thing.

If that's what's happening, that's what's happening. Nothing you can do about it because you're not doing it to begin with. Everything screams THERE'S NOONE doing anything. EVERYTHING.

I don't understand this part, can you elaborate on that? Don't feel pressured to answer in a particular way.

I think he means the knowledge he's acquired. There's nothing to reference to but things he already knows. That's why I say experience is knowledge and the I is knowledge and without it you are no one and cannot know yourself to be a self. There's something there in him that recognizes this.

I do not feel a desire to speak any more, at least on this thread. I love you all so much, so it hurts me to tell you this: SHUT THE FUCK UP! I cannot bear to hear your responses. The reciprocation of this love is so profound. I am melting into insanity.

This is the default reality for everyone: everything taking place in auto-pilot without any input needed from the person.

It is the unconscious life.

The fact you wrote so movingly about your dismay with this setup is the first step towards breaking its hold on you.

You are not a person run by an egoic mind and you do not need to continue is this delusion.

You are not the finite looking at the finite; you are the infinite looking from the finite to the finite papering over the infinite.

Align with what you are in meditation and in every moment and thereby disidentify from what you are not.

Why accept misery and why not embody joy?

That's how they programmed you ;) But you can deprogram yourself. Become aware of the patterns that arise WHEN they arise. Catch yourself so to speak. Good luck. You're alive ;)

No, you are the living infinity. You just have to unlock the closed compartments of your psyche so that it flows more and more freely. Ultimately, you have no limits, so break them to the fullest extent possible. That's the game here.

1. Self-Judgment

To the thought “I’m not enough,”
I can instead affirm “I am already whole, and loved without condition.”

2. Attachment to Control

To the thought “I must manage this or it will go wrong,”
I can instead affirm “I trust life and release the need to control.”

3. Fear of Vulnerability

To the thought “If I show myself, I’ll be hurt or rejected,”
I can instead affirm “My openness is my strength; I am safe to be real.”

4. Grievances and Resentments

To the thought “They wronged me and I can’t let it go,”
I can instead affirm “I choose peace over pain — I want to see this differently.”

5. False Identity / Ego Roles

To the thought “I am what I’ve done, or what’s happened to me,”
I can instead affirm “I am the changeless light behind every passing form.”

I really relate to this. I feel I’m going around in circles in my own mind, the same mind everyday. It’s all just one stream of thought flowing from its source, my brain, I’m stuck in duality, stuck in my brain seeing everything from the perspective of my own brain, constantly listening to its commentary on whatever is going on.

What helped me to feel like I’m experiencing something new was to shed layers of the self. And to do that through constant attention on the self. I don’t know how it’s done really as it came naturally for me. If it even makes sense
