Do you guys have any questions left to ask in your metaphysical inquiry?

51 posts in this topic

or you are satisfied with what you know? Do you know it ''all''?  What's left for you to find? Is there any question that occupies your mind? Do you think you will find the answers to your deepest metaphysical questions or you gave up trying to find an answer? If you have questions that you can't find answers metaphysicaly, what would be those questions?

I still have a question about why does anything exist at all. It doesn't click in my mind yet what the actual fuck is happening RIGHT FUCKING NOW.  And I have honestly given up on this question. No human being in the whole world even fathoms the significance of this question. And no one has the answer .I bet that god himself doesn't know. In fact ..God must be the most clueless being ever because he has existed since forever and he has lived an eternal eternity wondering why does his dick exist .

Infinity.

Why do you assume that existence isn't non-existence and existence right on top of each other with no where to go. So everything and nothing are the same thing.

A tomato is a tomato  precisely because it is not a potato.  You guys need to stop playing these linguistic nondual games of equating everything to everything else and by that thinking you've figured God's ass out .

Existence =/= non-existence because A=A.

@Someone here if I knew I wouldn't be here lol. I don't have any answer just experience. And my experience tells me now is where you learn why you are experiencing now.

@Hojo fair .I just think this question is impossible to answer .I'm not an epistemological nihilist when it comes to questions such as :what happens after death ?or does God exist ? Etc I think these questions are answerable . However..the question of why does anything exist is such a skull fuck . Impossible.

i mean there are alot of metaphysical questions and things i have, but just to start from more of an old school, spiritual place first to ground it all, if we go back to the bible, with the story of moses i think it is who sees the people who recently were asking questions about God nd all, causeve whatever curious things prior—and were awaiting to hear from Moses up on mt. sinai receiving those ten commandments from God (im butchering the tale here...) but, anyways the isrealites grew impatient and pressured A-aRon to make a "God they could visually see", and he made a statue. Then they started worshipping it, like throwing full festivals (as we continue to as well, for better or worse). And so, Moses came down w/ the stone tablets, happening upon the worship of this statue that had no real basis other then it was made by A-aron in the demand of the people, and Moses broke the statue—or threw it down the hill or whatever...

Point being its like, to me iuno wtf was Moses problem, its like, we are already here in what is essentially a non-stop, dwindling life, and though the world is leaning towards a kindve less spiritual or God-acknowledging place, its still a bonus to have something that acts as the very center, that which all people can point at. Its like, a guiding mechanic for groups to have something being pointed to, and agrred on, in every1s mind. im prolly giving a bad description, but anyway. He got mad, and understandbly so, as he spent like, how much of his life and then those 40 days, all bubbling up to this thing, and then not only was it like "oh, fuck that god thing hes workin on", it was also like a kinda fuck you to moses too, in a way, even if they didnt realize it. but anyway, thats not the point.

Thats all to say that, I ask myself like, how can we instill something like this, something thats like a bonus-ism, that doesnt require judgement in a new world. i mean, its that sortve area that interesting. im prolly asking the question wrong, but it gives yous an idea of what im tryina say atleast.

@kavaris I have checked the bible few times in the past .its mostly a biography of children of Israel.  Plus its so big of a book that I'm not motivated to invest time in reading the whole thing . The Quran (Islam's holy book ) in the other hand doesn't waste much time on autobiography but tackles matters like God's qualities..what happens when we die ..what is our origin and fate in existence..etc . I suggest reading the Quran. But skip through the pages that talk about practical stuff like how should you marry or how to kill the unbelievers lol these were for a specific era and only suits Muhammad's life 1400 yesrs ago . Of course its filled with myths ..encourages violence..talk about heaven and hell in a detailed ways and Says you shall be burned in hell forever if you fucked a girl out of wedlock etc. But it does have incredible philosophical nuggets if you can Forget about the context in which the quran was written.

@Someone here What if the question "Why does anything exist at all?" is founded on false premises? What if you are assuming the existence of something in order to ask your question, but independent of your wondering and wandering, there is nothing to rack your mind over?

I think I have more and more clarity every time I ask myself metaphysical questions, but I've never stuck a pin in anything and said "that is Truth".  I sort of envy people who have that conviction, but I also think they're utterly deluded. The only truth is that which isn't couched in a metaphysical story. The truth is that I'm typing on this laptop looking out onto a clouded evening sky, everything else is fantasy.

No I'm not assuming shit hommie. Obviously stuff exist. I could be a butterfly dreaming it's a human or windless endless other possibilities but stuff still exist in some way . To say that nothing exists is a cop-out or the mind's last chance to try to save itself from going insane .

I agree there is nothing to rack my mind around anymore .because I'm enlightened now and I don't give credit or validity to my thoughts and questions more than my farts . Let's have a a dinner and call it a day .

@Someone herebut if the biggest questions don't have an answer this is so cruel. I really want to know the answers since I was a kid and realising little by little that I will never know it's just super depressing.

People have asked Ramana Maharshi a billion and one questions when he was alive ..he would simply tell the questioners: " does this question occur to you when you are in deep sleep ?". People would say "no"..then Ramana would respond" then it's not important ".

Ultimate truth is obvious and very simple, be absolutely open to it is not so simple but very possible. But a question that I'd like to know is how's going to be the thing when this life ends.

Anyway, I know the answer, that also is very simple: the infinite being flowing developing it's unlimited potential. How? Impossible to know

Because there are not limits. Where is the doubt or the mystery? Can't be more obvious

Why not? Is there any reason? Just the inevitable manifestation of the total potential
