LD50 for 5-MeO is actually probably 10x the maximum recommended dose

LD50 in sheep is 1mg/kg , ranges from 48 to 278mg/kg in mice and in cats is 15mg/kg

For humans that's probably 200+ mg 

For some reason I thought it was very close to the max recommended ~ 25mg (depending on the ROA), so that's reassuring

Although I understand 25+ is getting toxic, dangerous, and unnecessary. And that technical OD isn't the main concern  with 5-MeO, it's mental but also physical with the risk of hurting yourself, puking, not breathing(?) , etc

LD50 will be much lower for certain types of people and you never know if that is you, so watch out.

Not all bodies will handle even 50mg of 5-MeO. You are toying with dynamite.

@Leo Gura would you say you can get deeper states like  alien love etc on a normal breakthrough dose or do you need really higher doses to reach these states?

Disclaimers: this is an advanced question, nobody should take high doses until you are an expert because the risks can be too big.

Interesting. 

Could it be your chakras or whatever needs to be open already to get to deeper levels. So high doses don't matter so much like your state of consciousness you enter into a trip.

That's great news if it's not bound to rarer or more dangerous chemicals.

I didn't really know up to now that you had accessed it through classic psychedelics.

Not to mean that taking very high doses of substances is not dangerous too, but at least it's accessible. If I remember correctly, you were never able to reach it without taking such risks?

I had one experience of Alien Love, but I was still fully aware of this reality. It definetely wasn't as radical as your Alien Hyper Intelligence Awakening.

You just said that normal doses can be enough, but don't you think the higher doses brought you something the lower doses couldn't have?

As you said… Alien Love. It sounds significant that it happened on extremely high doses — at least the first time.

I'm wondering how valuable you think extremely high doses are for accessing higher degrees of understanding.

It's hard to say because everyone is so different.

The only way to know is to experiment and see what you discover. But the more you experiment the more dangerous it gets.
