Is there any family pressure about having children that's causing additional stress?

My suggestion is for you both to test your vitamin D serum levels in your blood (25(OH)D). There's a chance you are deficient (below 30 ng or 75 nmol), which reduces the chances of conception and a healthy pregnancy. Vitamin D appears to play a crucial role in all stages, so it's best to get those levels up (above 50-60 ng - 125-150 nmol). Here is an overview for more information

Synergistic cofactors (Magnesium is always recommended), such as Zinc and Omega-3 also seem to play a crucial role in conception and ensuring a healthy pregnancy.

Zinc supplementation however seems to reduce copper, which can hinder the physiological development of the fetus (pregnancy increases the need for it), so either get a complex or take them separately.

You can also get these from dietary sources, but it is getting increasingly harder due to soil depletion and food-processing. You can not get sufficient vitamin D from food however, supplementation in combination with UVB (Sun) exposure is always best.

This covers just supplementation (which may solve it by itself), but other factors are just as needed (especially for a healthy pregnancy). A calm environment with minimal stress, adequate sleep. Furthermore the conviction that you both want a child, and from each other.

Hey Elton, sorry you guys have been going through this, that sort of pressure can put a lot of burden on you.

I assume you guys have consulted medical professionals and have both undergone proper testing & screening? If not, please start there before embarking on some complex alternative protocols. There is a lot of tests that doctors can run including physical examination as well as hormonal & other blood work.

@Elton I've noticed how family can profoundly shape our ability to create new life on our own terms—whether that's conceiving a child or discovering who we truly are. Have you found that those closest to you tend to create unintended pressure through their questions, timelines, fears, or belief systems? Creating healthy boundaries and honoring your own unique process, rather than yielding to their expectations, might be an essential missing piece for managing stress within these complex dynamics.

@Elton without assuming anything, do you know what they tested for?

The tests aren't usually to help with conception but more to check if things are okay (thyroid hormones, sex hormones, iron levels, vit D etc) do you know if everything came back as normal for both of you guys?

Also, absolutely agree with @Yimpa and it seems that with the pressure from family you guys are facing, that's not too helpful.  Perhaps you could have a honest conversation with your family and gently nudge them to back off.

I had friends who had trouble conceiving and then went for a 2 week holidays to a warmer country and it happened. Could something like that be an option?

EDIT: i just read your post about not getting that sales promotion and being really upset about it. Would you say that your current job is a major source of daily stress?

@Michael569 @Yimpa I have this really bad feeling inside me.

Like bad luck is spreading across all areas of my life.

Actualized.org is helping me cope with this although I'm beginning to feel like all these years of having the knowledge and practicing stuff like meditation and all from time to time has no use for me, the people who I judged 10 years for not self actualization are very successful in life :(

I'm just living with hope that maybe all the inner work may have great payoffs some day... :(

Working with my subconscious mind a lot these days I really believe that it all boils down to inner game only. So building up self esteem, confidence etc through hypnosis and affirmations.

Let's see how my life unfolds in the next 6 months to one year..

:( but training the subconscious main rule is to be happy and to be at peace and to be calm, to silence the inner critique to relax to not be a perfectionist to accept failure which is the most difficult...
