The fallacy of needing “others” to understand God

A recent (very recent) insight. Questions for me to contemplate:

  • Why is this important?
  • How does it create additional splits and distinctions in my Mind that may not need to be there?
  • Can others understand anything? What is understanding/levels to understanding?
  • are others even real? If they’re not real, why do I need them to understand?
  • if I am God- I’m only one who can understand/recognize myself- what are the implications of this?
  • Reactions against religious fanatics and hardcore atheists/materialists- how has my need for others to understand God created enemies out of these groups?

Another two for your list:

  • Is the idea of God innate in you, or did it come from others?
  • If you don't completely understand God, then how do you know what God is or what you mean by God?

This is signature is intentionally blank.

Spirituality is about breaking through the conceptual layer, then the emotional energy layer, then the perception layer, and reaching the core. If you're thinking about others, or God, or whatever, you're still trapped in one of those layers.

Others are the simplest tool we have for awakening. We think we are all separate but that is false. Bodies certainly are separate but minds are one. We are not bodies. How I see you is how I see me. Anything bad I see in the best person alive or the worst person alive is an indictment of me which quite simply is maintaining the illusion of separation. You are divine, you are innocent, you are salvation. And note I am not speaking of behaviour since that is between bodies and means nothing. All I need do is to change my thought system from ego's to God's. This is how oneness is remembered.

Every thought I am either strengthening the dream or dissolving the dream.

Are thoughts dangerous then? To bodies, they are indeed! For example, the thoughts that seem to kill others are merely those that teach the thinker that he can be killed. And thus he will "die" because of what he learned. He goes from life to death, the final proof he valued the inconstant more than constancy. Surely he thought he wanted happiness. Yet he did not really desire it because it was the truth, and therefore must be unchanging.

Unceasing joy is a condition quite alien to your understanding. Yet if you could just imagine what it must be, you would desire it although you understand it not. The constancy of happiness has no exceptions; no change of any kind. It is unshakable just like the Love of God for you. Sure in its vision as its Creator is in what He knows, happiness looks on everything and sees it is the same. It sees not the temporary, for it desires everything be like itself, and sees it so. Nothing has the power to confound its constancy, because its own desire cannot be shaken. It comes as surely unto those who desire it, as peace must come to those who seek to heal and not to judge.

Its like getting pregnant. Can you understand what pregnancy is without someone else to tell you?
