Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow Notes

15 posts in this topic

After rewatching @Leo Gura 's Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow video, and manually taking notes as the video progressed, I've come up with the final blueprint for Stage Yellow. This is a thorough summary which took me like 5 hours to create manually! No AI was used for creating this summary! I hope it helps folks who forgot bits and pieces about what Stage Yellow entails! Enjoy!

Chances are, if you love the Actualized.org content, that you have something within you that resonates with Yellow.

With Yellow we finally reach Tier 2. Before Yellow we have all the other stages, which summarize the conventional way of thinking which represent almost 99% of mankind. With Yellow we shift into tier 2.

What is tier 2?

  • Tier 2 represents a quantum leap in one's awareness of reality!
  • It's an awakening to systems thinking and holism.
  • Recognizing that everything within reality is deeply interconnected in ways that Tier 1 couldn't even imagine!
  • Tier 2 is opening up to awareness of the spiral itself.
  • Tier 2 is a shift from survival into being.
  • A shift from needy perception into being perception. Being perception means looking at a thing and seeing it for what it really is.
  • Needy perception means looking at a thing as to how it can serve you.
  • Tier 2 derives its values from the magnificence of existence itself rather than from selfish interests or group interests.
  • With tier 2 there is a much wider and deeper perspective of life. You are no longer concerned only about your personal survival problems or how to acquire personal success, rather you are concerned with the problems of the entire mankind or problems of the entire globe.
  • Ideas become multi-dimensional in tier 2. There is a lot of layers and complexity to things.
  • There is now an awareness of one's own perspective. You realize that your perspective is partial and that there are also many other valid perspectives besides your own.
  • The problem with tier 1 is that they think that only their perspective is valid and only their perspective is based in absolute truth and all the other perspectives are false. In tier 2 you realize that that way of thinking is flawed. There is no such thing as objectivity.
  • Tier 2 does away with judgement, demonizing, blaming and scapegoating. At tier 2 demonization becomes untenable. Nobody looks like a demon anymore. Evil ceases to exist.
  • Tier 2 is non moralistic
  • Tier 2 replaces fear with curiosity and care
  • Tier 2 is basically what Abraham Maslow described as the self-actualizing individual.

What is the essence of Yellow?

  • Systemic, integrative and multi perspectival. Yellow uses multiple perspectives to analyse reality. This is one of Yellow's core defining feature.
  • Yellow swings the pendulum from the collectivist approach of Green back to the individualistic approach
  • While Orange was also individualistic, it only cared about personal success, damn the consequences regardless if the success came at the cost of hurting others. In contrast Yellow still cares about personal success but not at the cost of others. Yellow has a sensitivity and awareness that excessive self-interest can cause a lot of harm to others. Yellow is aware of its own carbon footprint.
  • Yellow is careful to not hurt others through its own actions
  • Yellow is all about understanding the magnificence of existence
  • Yellow is all about exploring reality using your mind
  • Yellow believes that a kernel of truth can be found in each perspective. Yellow is open to exploring various extremely radical perspectives that orange or green or blue would have instantly shut down or dismiss.
  • Yellow is extremely open minded
  • Yellow is about designing integrated and open systems
  • Yellow is seeing life as a kaleidoscope of natural hierarchies, systems and flows
  • Yellow people are the information elites
  • They are caring yet at the same time realistic
  • Being a realist is what defines yellow's understanding of politics and mankind as a whole

When does Yellow emerge?

  • Yellow emerges from the limitations of Green!
  • Green goes into mob mentality, into over emotionality, into overly sacrificing for the collective, so Yellow brings that back.
  • Yellow emerges when Green develops increased discernment
  • When Green ultimately becomes frustrated with fruitless activism
  • At the tail end of Green you start to see the wreckage of the entire spiral. You realize that all the stages are fighting each other and basically the tier 1 thinking and mentality is endangering and jeopardizing all of mankind.
  • When you realize that you aren't going to solve mankind's problems with the tier 1 mentality. You need to move to tier 2.
  • Ideas become more interesting to Yellow than community which was interesting for Green.
  • Yellow becomes extremely interested of how the other side thinks rather than just criticising and judging

Stage Yellow Values

  • Nuance and complexity
  • Open mindedness
  • Multiple perspectives
  • Novel concepts and points of view
  • Generating fresh insights
  • Understanding
  • Systems thinking
  • Non-linear dynamics
  • Sustainability and long-time horizons
  • Yellow values going meta
  • Big picture understanding versus technical analysis
  • Connecting the dots
  • Penetrating to the core of an issue
  • Identifying and solving root problems
  • Taking a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Mixing perspectives from the soft sciences with the hard sciences
  • Creativity and outside of the box solutions
  • Ecology
  • Responsible ways of being
  • Studying models
  • Yellow values spiral dynamics
  • Natural hierarchies
  • Education
  • Knowledge
  • Research
  • Reading
  • Diversity
  • Clean content and concentrated information
  • Yellow likes to absorb as much information as possible into its commonplace book
  • Lifelong learning
  • Proactive about learning
  • Yellow likes to be self-taught
  • Expertise
  • Competence
  • Experience
  • Complexity
  • Context
  • Learning from history
  • Developing skills to become an instrument for the greater good
  • Independent thinking
  • Neutrality
  • Being objective and impartial
  • Designing solutions for the entire spiral rather than just for one's own colour the way that tier 1 does!
  • Meeting people at where they are at!
  • Building bridges
  • Social engineering
  • Ecological designs
  • Reducing the suffering of living systems
  • Pulling ideas from many different sources
  • Combining different ideas, models and theories
  • Yellow is left brained
  • Vision
  • Purpose
  • Being a visionary
  • Being a pioneer
  • Requisite variety
  • Mental flexibility
  • Self-actualization
  • Paradox
  • Uncertainty
  • Responsibility
  • Independence
  • Autonomy
  • Being a lone wolf (Because Yellow is moving away from the group hive mind that was characteristic of Green!)
  • Warning!!! It is really easy to confuse Yellow with Orange

How to distinguish between Yellow and Orange?

  • Firstly you have to be aware that these two stages are radically different from one another. Yellow represents a quantum leap in development compared to Orange!
  • Yellow is beyond concerns of self-survival whereas Orange is completely survival oriented
  • Orange is often driven only by personal success! It only wants money and achievement and recognition and earning prizes and awards!
  • Yellow doesn't care about these things anymore, Yellow is beyond that!
  • Make sure to don't confuse manipulation of systems with systems thinking! Orange exploits and manipulates and takes advantage of existing systems for its own benefit, whereas Yellow thinks systemically in order to improve and innovate and evolve pre-existing systems. Yellow would never abuse or manipulate a system's flaw for its own benefit, rather Yellow will try to use its intelligence to try and repair a faulty system, but never exploit it!
  • Yellow has a selfless, gentle demeanour about himself, Orange has a selfish exploitative demeanour about himself
  • Systems thinking is about understanding the system, seeing life and reality as a set of complex systems interacting with each other and it is about caring about the health of the entire system! Yellow cares about preserving the system. Whereas Orange cares about exploiting the system for his own benefit!
  • Yellow's attitude is non manipulative! That's the key distinction between Yellow and Orange!
  • Yellow cares about ecology
  • Yellow cares about collateral damage unlike Orange
  • Yellow has a long time horizon whereas Orange has a short time horizon
  • For example if an Orange CEO runs a company and he can increase the next quarter earnings by 10 fold but as a consequence the company will have severe difficulties over 5 years, because the Orange CEO will be the CEO of that company for only 3 years he doesn't care what happens after he is gone, all he cares right now is to fill his pockets! A Yellow CEO will be very mindful of how he runs his company now and what risks he takes now in order not jeopardize the future of the company down the road!
  • Yellow is non-judgemental and neutral in a way that Orange isn't
  • Yellow is aware of the entire spiral, in a way that Orange isn't, and also, Yellow is aware of itself. Orange is not aware of itself!
  • Yellow creates designs that accommodate for the entire spiral
  • Orange schemes and manipulates to accommodate only for himself
  • Even if it hurts the spiral, Orange will have no remorse doing what it serves him best! Whereas Yellow will be extremely cautious and caring for the whole spiral. For all the human and nonhuman beings!
  • Yellow will avoid all the actions that have the potential to hurt anyone across the spiral!

Characteristics of Yellow

  • Yellow is non-ideological yet highly principled
  • Yellow acts from an inter directed core
  • Yellow has a strong ethical core ( This ethical core doesn't derive from some religion, or some set of Commandments or some book! Rather it derives from his own inner wisdom which Yellow has garnered through massive life experience and thorough studying about life and reality. Yellow's understanding of the world is derived from exploring different perspectives and assembling all the small pictures into one Big Picture that consists of all the perspectives and systems Yellow observed throughout his life)
  • Yellow feels that understanding other worldviews is critical! For Yellow there is some kernel of truth in every worldview!
  • To Yellow few ideas are sacred! To yellow all ideas are subject to revision and upgrade! Yellow is highly flexible whereas the lower stages are more rigid! ( Warning! An individual that changes his opinion on various subjects all the time is not Yellow!!! That's Orange or Red! Only Orange or Red is sneaky enough to change its opinions in order to align with the agenda that is running the government in that moment)
  • Although Yellow is flexible, a Yellow person will never go from one extreme to another, Yellow fine tunes its opinions but never drastically shifts from one extreme to another.
  •
  • For Yellow the world is a complex self-organizing natural system that requires integral solutions.
  • Yellow appreciates just how complex social issues are, political issues, like poverty, and health care, and the economy! All of these are very nuanced complex issues! There are no easy simple solutions for such problems!
  • Yellow introduces lots of ideas, connections, and complexity. If you bring a Yellow person into your business, they're going to bring in lots of these unique complicated ideas.
  • Yellow has an overarching view for living systems
  • Yellow takes effective action to support the whole
  • Yellow integrates science, religion, and personal development
  • Yellow doesn't really care what others think about him. To Yellow what others think of him is interesting but not critical
  • To Yellow nothing is evil or purely negative. To Yellow there is a higher wisdom even about the bad stuff in life
  • To Yellow every system has value, but that doesn't mean that every system is equal. Certain perspectives may be deemed as outright wrong and very unhealthy! Yellow will recognize that!
  • Yellow has given up clinging to tradition or old status quo ways
  • Yellow believes in being adaptable to your environment, that's how you survive
  • Yellow sees deep common threads everywhere
  • Yellow is able to hold two contradictory perspectives at the same time, a thing that all the lower stages weren't able to do.
  • Yellow has a greater degree of behavioural freedom than all the other stages
  • Yellow wants to develop natural living environments to support human evolution
  • Yellow has an overarching vision about a system and then determines what the system needs to grow into blossom. If you think of systems as plants, then Yellow is the gardener
  • Yellow moves freely between different value systems
  • Yellow believes in acupunctural interventions which means taking a small action to make a big impact
  • Yellow is aware of self-bias and self-deception, in a way the tier 1 stages weren't aware of.
  • Yellow looks beyond merely human oriented interests. There are larger concerns, global concerns, universal concerns
  • Yellow has a large vision about the future for humanity, and Yellow can have a lot of revolutionary and visionary ideas
  • Yellow tends to have an enormous drive and focus to actualize his ideas
  • Yellow recognizes the importance of consciousness and spirituality, although not yet fully immersed in true spirituality
  • Yellow is operating at the level of mind, intellect and analysis
  • Yellow sees the limitations of reductionism, pragmatism, behaviourism, logical positivism, rationalism, and libertarianism
  • Yellow tends to be curious without judging and keeps asking questions
  • For Yellow there is a constant flow of new ideas and ways of thinking
  • Yellow understands that everything is connected and works together
  • Yellow is good at distinguishing the essential and the ancillary
  • Yellow is always keeping an eye on the big picture not on the technical minutiae
  • Yellow loves learning and is a quick learner
  • Yellow is open to learning from many sources
  • Yellow has an attitude of open questioning and discovery
  • To Yellow every experience is a learning opportunity
  • Yellow has strong humanistic and inclusive values
  • Yellow enjoys paradox and uncertainty and is adept at resolving paradoxes
  • Yellow can enter the point of view of all the spiral stages, also Yellow sees al the lower stages as legitimate. The lower stages don't need to be demonized
  • Yellow is able to facilitate the movement of people up and down the spiral
  • Yellow is able to dialogue with every stage of the spiral below it
  • Yellow is here to develop systems for tier 1 in order to evolve upward at its own pace
  • One of the biggest differences between Green and Yellow is that Green tried to get everyone bellow it to jump up to Green, whereas Yellow will try to get a stage Red individual firstly through a solid integration of stage Blue, before it tries to get that individual to the highest level. Yellow will do that using a systemic, pragmatic, right process.
  • Yellow sees each system as the next step, but not to the best or the final
  • Yellow is not reactive
  • Yellow is able to listen deeply
  • Yellow recognizes layered dynamics
  • Yellow is able to entertain an idea without believing in it
  • Yellow has a knack for gathering information from diverse sources
  • Yellow is continuously evolving
  • Yellow prefers elegant simplicity and functionality rather than opulent displays of power ( Red, Orange and Blue love to brag and to show to the world how cool and rich and how big of an individual they are)
  • Yellow has no need for status and exhibitionism
  • Yellow is not concerned with comparisons, rather than comparing itself to others, Yellow compares itself to itself
  • Yellow cannot be coerced, bribed or intimidated
  • Yellow doesn't get involved with criticism or controlling behaviour
  • Yellow doesn't desire to control or to be controlled
  • Yellow doesn't create enemies
  • Yellow doesn't scapegoat
  • Yellow is immune to radicalization
  • You cannot brainwash Yellow. Yellow thinks in so many perspectives, you cannot trap him into only one way of thinking, into a cult!
  • Yellow is drawn by hotspots where the evolving crisis demands new insights
  • Yellow has a meta understanding of human nature and conflict
  • Yellow is aware of backfiring mechanisms. Yellow is able to anticipate the consequences of policies and behaviours that may work in counter intuitive ways
  • Yellow is counter intuitive
  • Yellow has a sense of delight when encountering the new and the novel
  • For Yellow authority is contextual. Yellow will choose as it's leader the best, the most competent individual in regards with the problem at hand. If a different problem arises, then Yellow will choose a different leader which has expertise with dealing with the new problem. At Yellow the leader isn't static.
  • Yellow enjoys minimal consumption
  • Yellow can be gentle or ruthless, conformist or non-conformist, it all depends of what the situation at hand demands of Yellow
  • Yellow is a Chameleon.
  • Yellow is always looking to find win-win-win solutions. Where the two parties doing the business win plus the costumers or the recipients of the end result win. Where the entire spiral and the entire ecological system as a whole also benefits.
  • Yellow doesn't join wholeheartedly and group experiences. Yellow tends to be a bit of a lone wolf.
  • Yellow prefers to keep a low profile
  • Yellow doesn't like a lot of attention. Yellow's best work comes from a place of solitude and aloneness
  • Yellow will not sacrifice himself for the commune the way that Green would
  • Yellow has a soften, mature, responsible masculinity
  • Yellow is characterized by being a centrist on the political spectrum but can sway to the left or the right depending on the political issues Yellow is trying to solve!

Analysing some examples of Yellow

Let's take vegetarianism. What is the difference between vegetarianism at Green vs at Yellow?

  • A Green vegetarian is an obnoxious, proselytizing vegetarian.
  • A Yellow vegetarian will still understand the same things as Green does, but he will react in a more mellow, understanding way towards a meat eater, basically understanding that you can't convince someone who ate meat all their life into joining you into vegetarianism. Yellow allows other people to live life according to their current level of development, as opposed to imposing his Yellow worldview onto others the same Green does!

Let's focus on Yellow political solutions!

For example let's focus on the Israeli - Palestine conflict!

  • A tier 1 person will look at the situation and will immediately pick a side!
  • A stage Yellow person will firstly analyse thoroughly the situation on the ground, actually going into both Palestine and Israel and interviewing people that live there, asking everyone for his side of the story, and then Yellow , without trying to push his political agenda, will try to find the common ground between the two conflicting sides, and looking for a long term healthy solution that will be suitable for both the Palestinians and the Israelis.
  • Yellow will try to defuse any ideological polarization that sits at the root of the conflict!

What would be a Yellow approach when it comes to the economy?

  • The main problem with tier 1 economists is that they have very strong and rigid opinions on how the economy should be handled! Those people are ideologues! They are either Hard core capitalists, libertarians, socialists, communists and so on!
  • A stage Yellow approach means looking at the systemic problems that our economy has! Moreover, Yellow will try to make accurate sense of how the main stake holders in the economy view the world, what are their fears, what motivates them? Yellow will try and do that with all the major groups of people who have the power to positively or negatively influence our economic situation. Yellow will bend over backwards to get a crystal clear understanding of the big picture when it comes to economics before attempting to change something! Yellow will study the situation extremely carefully then he will come up with systemic solutions for economy!

Yellow's approach in regards to the educational system!

  • A tier 1 person will either be pro public schools or pro private schools without acknowledging the main causes of the dysfunctional nature of our education system!
  • A stage Yellow person will firstly study and analyse what are the main problems! Where are the leaks within the current system of education. Yellow will do a complex diagnosis before attempting change!
  • Yellow will travel the world to explore different educational systems and analyse what makes those systems work!

How to know if you are really a Stage Yellow person?

  • Are you non-judgemental? This is the most important quality for being solid Yellow!
  • Have you stopped demonizing people?
  • Have you stopped debating and arguing with people?
  • Have you stopped moralizing and blaming and scapegoating?
  • Have you stopped crusading? (Tier 1 people go a lot into intellectual or ideological crusades, ranting about an enemy, whether it's the right or the left, or the progressives or the neo-nazis! If you have something that is triggering you from the aforementioned you have still some way to go before you reach Yellow! Let it go!)
  • Have you stopped being an Social Justice Warrior?
  • Are you able to be impartial?
  • Are you able to really step outside of your own agenda?
  • Can you see the world through the lower stages?
  • Do you see the validity of the lower stages or you think that the lower stages are dumb and should not exist? That is the key difference between tier 1 and tier 2!!!
  • Do you see that every perspective is partially true? If you have difficulties stepping into a Nazi's shoes, and to try to understand what makes the Nazi think the way he thinks.. This means you are not yet into Yellow!
  • Are you genuinely curious to explore other points of view?
  • Are you able to go meta?
  • Do you see that mankind's problem aren't personal but systemic? And that the problems are really nobody's fault? Until you realize this you will always scapegoat and demonize people. Thinking that it's the Christians fault or it's the billionaires fault, therefore meaning that you are yet to reach Yellow!

The mantras of Yellow

  • We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that we used to create them!
  • The map is not the territory!
  • Every perspective is partially true and partially false!
  • Wisdom is knowing what you don't know!
  • Perspective is everything!
  • The better the model the bigger the problem!
  • New times require new thinking!
  • Different strokes for different folks!
  • It takes all kinds!

What triggers Yellow?

  • Tier 2 is not easy to trigger! That’s one of tier 2's hallmarks!
  • The blindness and infighting of tier 1
  • Yellow will feel frustrated of the lack of progress and backwardness that exists all around the world! As a Yellow person you will rarely find likeminded individuals, you won't be represented in the media, on the internet, in politics, you have to be prepared for a world which isn't ready to accommodate you!
  • Black and white thinking, because Yellow is exactly the opposite which is means Yellow is a nuanced thinker
  • Non-Systemic thinking, people who think too short term
  • Excessive rationalism, reductionism, scientism
  • People who turn science into a religion or dogma
  • Frustrated will all kinds of dogmatic and ideological people
  • Conformity and groupthink
  • Polarization
  • Demonization
  • Radicals and radicalization
  • People who don't understand spiral dynamics
  • Consumerism and profiteering
  • Religion can trigger Yellow
  • Fixed structures which offer no space for knowledge, development, analysis or conceptualizing
  • Red tape and bureaucracy
  • Working in groups
  • Myopia, the lack of vision that people have
  • Yellow can be frustrated by the fact that most people are focused on short term petty human issues rather than the higher issues that face mankind
  • By people who lack an interest in the big picture
  • People who are overly technical and focused on trivia
  • Politics and gamesmanship and manipulation

What are the limitations of Yellow?

  • Yellow is still stuck in duality
  • Mysticism is still not possible within Yellow because Yellow is too much in his thinking mind
  • Yellow thinks too much
  • Yellow may be unwilling to transcend models and concepts
  • Yellow can get bogged down in complex analysis
  • Yellow can develop an intellectual hubris which can lead to a form of arrogance
  • Yellow can invent a lot of futuristic solutions that are not pragmatic. Ideas that look great on paper but that cannot be actualized yet.
  • Not being able to finish something because Yellow is always on the hunt for something new to approach and solve
  • Yellow is too much of a loner. He needs a team to actualize his vison but because of his solitary nature, he struggles with being part of a team or group.
  • Yellow might encounter difficulties creating a community
  • Yellow can forget to connect with people because he is too focused on models and ideas rather than relationships
  • Yellow can be emotionally distant
  • The biggest limitation of this stage is the fact that Yellow is still unhappy despite all this knowledge and intelligence that Yellow has acquired!
  • A lack of embodiment of the things that he so thoroughly developed inside its mind!
  • Yellow cannot solve the world's problems alone, Yellow needs a community for that!

Yellow statistics

  • About 1% of the adult global population is Yellow
  • Yellow has about 5% of world influence through the media, books, government programs
  • The style of government under Yellow is systemic flow, it's knowledge centred governance, the dawn of systems thinking within governance and ruled by experts and intellectuals

How to transcend Yellow?

  • To transcend Yellow you will have to go from self-actualization into self-transcendence
  • You have to realize that understanding and the mind will never bring you happiness
  • Enlightenment, Kundalini awakening
  • Psychedelics
  • Kriya Yoga
  • Meditation
  • Self-Inquiry
  • Vipassana
  • Spiritual practices
  • Solo meditation retreats
  • Long periods of isolation
  • Realizing the limits of concepts and the mind and beliefs
  • You need to go beyond models into a deep embodiment of the things you read about in books
  • Be more emotional
  • Be less logical
  • Yellow is a bit too left brained, he needs to bring back a little into the right brain
  • Opening up the heart chakra
  • Loving kindness meditation
  • Practicing more compassion
  • Be more intuitive
  • Surrender all control
  • Totally deconstruct your ego
  • Deconstruct your web of beliefs and your emotions
  • Deconstruct all your models and all your concepts
  • Deconstruct materialism and dualism
  • Start to read a lot of books about non-duality
  • Start contemplating
  • You need to transcend language to transcend Yellow, start to see the limitations of language
  • Mindfulness practice
  • Practice mindfulness all the time
  • Start to live your life in the way the turquoise saints and sages have lived their life
  • Melt into the now! You need to become really present
  • Heal your energetic system! You may have energetic blockages, blocked chakra
  • Join a spiritual community
  • Ultimately to transcend Yellow you need to enter into a state of no mind

Conclusions

  • If you are Orange, your ego will really want to claim that you are Yellow! Be careful about that, you are probably nowhere near Yellow!
  • It is very easy to overestimate yourself on the spiral!
  • Even if you are really Yellow, remember that there are many degrees of Yellow, how solidly and how deep are you into Yellow?
  • Become a student of the spiral, revisit the previous stages of the spiral and try to make deep sense of what each stage has to teach you!
  • Learn how to communicate with each stage.
  • Go back to each stage and ask yourself what positive aspects of the previous stages have I not fully integrated? And try to integrate those missing aspects! Also try to spot out within yourself the negative aspects from previous stages that you are still doing to this day.

Warnings

  • Don't make the mistake of thinking that Yellow is infallible. Yellow can make mistakes. Yellow can subscribe too deeply to one bad perspective more than he should!
  • Yellow could make factual errors, Yellow is not perfect
  • Yellow doesn't mean that it can't hurt people, sometimes Yellow's solutions can backfire in its face. Also Yellow could be too cold in relationships or make mistakes in his personal life
  • Yellow can have personal problems or unhealthy behaviours or addictions. Although this is less likely because Tier 2 people tend to be more mature and more conscious
  • Make sure you don't over idealize any particular stage!

Moving up the spiral is similar to any meaningful change, such as breaking free from addiction. Real change is accomplished not via knowledge or conceptual understanding, but via bone-deep emotions and will. That is why being sensitive is crucial.

Sensitivity can lead to integrity and discipline, which sustain meaningful change.

When sensitivity blends with open-mindedness, intelligence, and experience, genuine change becomes an automatic result.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

This is fitting on so many levels.

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche

We are all historical agents, comrade. Even Comrade Gura is merely a function of the dialectic. Your alignment is not exceptional - it is expected.
