Did Obama go too far or not far enough?

At the end, Kyle says he did not go far enough. From a big picture perspective I would say that even if he went further with progressive politics, Trump would still have come into power, judging from an Integral SD perspective. You just can't go full Stage Green in the US with no bad consequences. 

1. Average folk from the country side are not even Orange, they will not jump a stage, they have to burn though Orange first. So Green full steam ahead will lead to backlash.

2. The Super rich will lobby the shit out of any possible news anchor in order to keep their millions, and the "woke" Green gave them enough propaganda material.

I don't think stage green can do much on its own. Our society will be saved by Stage Yellow as it can finally harmonize the spiral. Stage green people just end up hateful through all the pain that their empathy causes them.

Systematic yellow solutions through AI and blockchain is what will take us to a new era of human development.

Obama did the best he could but you need societal trends to advance to really move things forward. There are some things that stage green and stage blue people just fundamentally cannot agree on. The only solution I see is make it so they don't have to.

On the one hand, I kind of get your point, that Yellow people could be wise enough to win the majority of people by understanding all points of view.

On the other hand, right now I can't see a moderate, mature vibed politician winning. you win now by pressing emotional buttons, and I doubt Yellow will want to play that game.

On the contrary, yellow understands the system and what needs to be done. Stage green still has the righteous ego and stands in virtue signalling instead of getting its shoes dirty to do whats best for reality.

He performed excellently in terms of substance and ran the perfect message for the country in 2008. However, he didn't push far enough, as he didn't want to transition into a more aggressive, fire-breathing populist and partisan advocate, unlike TR, Truman, FDR, LBJ, or Biden who all did during their presidencies. In fact, Obama became more pro-establishment and more non-partisan as time went on which is not what the people were hoping.

If Obama had grown more of a spine by leveraging his exceptional charisma more boldly during his first term as the incumbent president, then perhaps a broader majority of Americans would have developed greater faith in our country's institutions, liberalism, and the Democratic Party.

Humans aren't even smart enough to see past their primitive circuitry. We will need AI to help mitigate our stupidity. This is especially true for the people in power (since there stupidity affects billions of people).
