Humans are still very tribal

24 posts in this topic

Since I have been integrating my anima my EQ has been through the roof. I noticed something. Men still size each other up the moment they walk into a room. It’s automatic. Instinctive. Who’s the strongest? Who has the most presence? It’s not about words it’s about posture, energy, eye contact.

We think we’re evolved, but we’re still tribal at the core. The modern world hasn’t changed the ancient wiring. Social hierarchy still runs everything especially among females. They are more aware of it. Almost as if it is part of their software

It’s not just muscles. It’s who leads the room without trying. Who others respect without needing to dominate. Women feel this too.. they sense who holds real, grounded power.

The loudest man isn’t the strongest. The one who’s calm, composed, and centered usually is.

We’re animals pretending to be civilized. If you understand that, you stop trying to impress…..and start being someone others naturally follow.

I think you're dead right. Ever been in the presence of a big animal up close? Even a dog say. It's hard to ignore its presence and there's something primal going on there, beyond thought and reason. You get the same with some people, a kind of animal presence that can't be ignored, male or female.

With men it's nearly an instinctual recognition between themselves that "hey that bloke could kill me, seriously hurt me, or cause me serious issues, even if it isn't physical", and there's a whole super complex mental and subconscious game that plays out in order for those scenarios not to actually play out. But luckily most of us are whimpy, domesticated and non-aggresive - which we also recognise instinctively in others.

But I like it. If you think about it there's a majestic kind of respect you have to give to animals that could kill you or that live by their own code and that isn't 100% predictable. It's no different for people. People are unpredictable by nature and can be extremely difficult to deal with, male or female, but that also makes them exciting.

Totally, that's why fitness is important in game to get some of the most attractive women with the least effort. Status is also key, having a social circle in which you're in a leadership position where people respect you. Also little things like in online dating women swiping 15% less on men with glasses, it's another primal sign of genetic deficiency.

I’m into martial arts and if you are good at it you subconsciously send out signals that you demand respect and don’t allow to be fucked with. I realized this when I was talking with a boxing partner. He was telling me there were bully guys who would try to dominate him. I was kind of shocked because I never experienced it while we are in the same gym. Then I realized how physical power plays such a big role how you get treated amongst men. It is not about the amount of muscle by the way. Big muscled guys can’t fight.

People sacrifice their individuality for the tribe, or more accurately that individuality/originality is never fully discovered. Imagine how cool society would be if everyone was just themselves and embraced their uniqueness.

Ahaha…

We already live in a very individualistic society, perhaps even a hyper individualistic one. Some people are creeps and embrace it. Others are unfaithful who embrace lust. Self-centered who embrace selfishness. Self-serving who embrace pleasure and believe they’re justified in taking pleasure in the hurt of others. I’ve meant way too many of these people who are unapologetically themselves, but see nothing wrong with how egotistical they are. Wasted so many hours trying to get them to care about others, the collective, to no avail. We need more collectivism, not less of it.

Too many today care only about their rights and freedoms, without seriously caring to consider duties and obligations.

Tribalism is doo-doo. But also, today’s individualism is doo-doo too.

We are supposed to be. Government isnt something God gave us as a right. Imagine we lost our tribalness. Then society collapsed.

The biggest thing that separates humans from animals in my opinion is our ability to create large collective myths and the quality of the ideologies that we are socialized into as children. Liberal ideology for example is a highly advanced ideological "technology" that iterates on hundreds of years of human history, bloodshed, empires, etc. Just look at car traffic. It requires an astounding amount of cooperation for that not to result in disaster every time for an animal but we make it happen. Imagine if Chimps where taught to drive cars. No amount of training will stop them from plowing through people like they are coins in Mario Kart

It is not that humans are pretending to be civilized but civilization is acting on top of a primal base.

Bro you are not even in the game and far from being qualified to engage the power hierarchy.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I mean, I interact with other men regularly, and those kinds of thoughts never cross my mind, lol.

Yes, it is a paranoid delusion, educate yourself on this disorder.

Some hierarchy makes sense. Like in high school I remember the most popular were the most charismatic, funny, outgoing people. It makes sense since they’re good at forming social connections with a lot of people and are likeable.

That is what I said you are out of your mind fool trying to act tough in this topic. It is in general psychology. Nietzsche talked about this to a great degree.

That is what I'm saying. Non autistic people understand this in a sub conscious way. Both men and women scan for it and are influenced by it. I remember doing a charisma course and earning more money and getting more popular and people treated me in a different way although I was the same person as before.

You got more charismatic so you weren’t the same right?

I'm not trying to be tough or anything; It just doesn't fit in with my thinking.
When I go see my friends or when I was at school, I just interact cordially, work and have fun with others, and vice versa with me.

It's just so strange to think about "who's the alpha male in the room" or stuff like that.

Yea it is weird to you because you are blind to it and because you are not even qualified. I was like you in the past. Most people are not spiritual. They are into survival and wanting a better life. Getting into better social circles changes you in every way possible, even spiritually.

True, people can feel that.

Did you find people treated you differently because of more charisma or having more money mostly?
